It says

Is this a real windows problem or some kind of virus or spyware?
I am not sure how to fix this I didn't find anything in help.

It is always better to depend on system restore so that un- identified errors are undone with out affecting the basic operating system. I suggest that you try to carryout system restore to a day previous to the day when there was no virus or any problems. It may be a few weeks or months back. You have to decide the date. The problem is likely to be solved. Then,You insatll a standard antivirus soft ware such as Norton, AVG , Avast ( free antivirus software and Ad-aware, Ewido ( free spyware removers). You can download free softwares at

Windows Defender is a piece of software from Microsoft that scans for viruses and spyware. It was formerly Giant Anti Spyware before Microsoft purchased the software. I would try to reinstall the software by downloading it from Microsoft. It should be a free download.

try uninstalling it and then install it again.
it may be a bad installation
