bridal registries are more for bridal shower gifts (things the bride herself has chosen) whereas wedding registries would be for the gifts given at the wedding reception (soposed to be picked by both the bride and groom, but lets face it, the bride usually chooses what goes on both registries herslef). Often times the same things are on both registries and the wedding registry ends up being the same list from the bridal list that were not received previously with more added on.

Nope. Wedding registry is just the more PC term, to put the emphasis on the couple and their wedding rather than just on the bride. Just like how wedding party and bridal party are the same thing.

Bridal registries are for the bridal shower that is held before the wedding and the wedding registry is for gifts for the actual wedding!
