To get a new V5 you need to complete a V62 form (available at the post office) and pay a fee ( £19). Or you can print a form off here , and post it with a cheque.

I'm sure you have to have a log book to sell a car now, you can get a replacement I think it is about 18 pounds from dvla

to get a log book costs nothing from the dvla at swansea,if your going to tax it just take your documents,m.o.t,insurance,and money,they fill a short form in with,dont matter were you live they will give you tax to put in your car.

you don't have to have a log book to sell the car, but anyone would be totally stupid to buy one without seeing it as thats the only way you can prove you have any right to sell the car

yes you do.just ring the dvla let them have your details and they will send you a new 1. shouldnt cost anything.
