Hungry, sick, litter box close or something. They meow like talking too so that might be it.

Plain and simple answer, separation anxiety. Especially if you are gone during the day. The kitten has been taken from it's mother and if you hold it alot when you're home. It will cry because of the transition of unbonding (mama cat) and rebonding (you). This may take a while just like children there is no specific time frame.

If you do leave during the day take a few minutes in the morning and sit with kitten, and clean the litter box fill up all bowls. I feed my kitten and leave while he's eating so he doesn't notice I'm gone right away. Also just like a human baby, if they know you'll react to them crying they will do it until you pay attention.

Your kitten probably misses it's birth mom. My friend's kitten meowed until it was about maybe 2 1/2 months old. Your kitten with eventually get over it. Don't worry it will stop.

Get him some Max canned kitten food. For a kitten that young dry food just doesn't do it. He needs the meat to feel satisfied. He would also probably like the kitten replacer milk from the pet store (NO cow's milk !!!!!!!!!!!!). Put some of that in a saucer for him to lap up.

Of course he is also lonely and scared. He should have stayed with his mum and siblings for another couple of weeks at least.

the cat might be telling you what she needs. the kitten is only 6 weeks old the are dependent on you. when he/she gets about 15 weeks old she/he might stop.

Are you wanting it to grunt? Kittens 'discover' their voicebox and meow nonstop at some point. Mine just started LOL Then again, their could be something wrong - not enough food, dirty litterbox, or health problem.

it could want one or more of the following:food, water, attention, or maybe even just to go to the bathroom. if it is none of the above then your cat is just retarded like mine. My cat stares at the wall for hours at the same spot from about 6 inches away.

There should be vets in your area that offer payment options to pay for their fees, or call your SPCA or equivalent because the cat needs to be checked out..... good luck....
