A friend and I were talking about cancer, she says when someone gets cancer and after treatment, is then medically declared cancer free, that person will get cancer again, no matter what. As she put it, it may be 5, 10, even 25 years they will get it again if they do not die due to something else first. I don't believe that and have never heard that before. I am hoping for a real answer to this question, thanks

Your friend is wrong. When someone has been declared cancer free, there is an excellent chance they will not get cancer again. Sometimes it does come back or another type of cancer shows up, but there are an awful lot of people alive today who had cancer and live long cancer free lives.

Cancer in America. One of my pet peeves ! Folks, wake up call here.
1) Our Government is run by money. They call it lobbying. I call it bribery. Look at the AMA, The American Medical Association. Who died and made them god ?
IF they could they would BAN nutritional supplements (vitamins & minerals); they would ban herbal medicines, homeopathy treatments, etc. THEY want a total monopoly on health.
Cancer patients, ask yourself this: Is it in a doctors [ financial ] best interest to have us (you) "healthy?" Heck NO.
IF we were a healthy society do you think they'd have BMW's, Jags, ten beach houses and four Mistresses ??!! Wake up.
Healthy people do NOT PAY their exhorbitant rates ! Why the heck do you all think that MOST Americans have no health insurance and NEVER see an MD (doctor). Costs too damn much.
Fact. We all have cancer cells in us, all the time. They are kept in check WHEN we are healthy. Put a nation like ours on toxins like cjlorine and fluoride (in city water systems) and doctors have guaranteed clients, for many years to come.

If they are cancer free it's usually in remission, and they will have to keep getting checkups to make sure it's not back!

Just pray it's over, and never coming back!!!!!
