You are so correct. As long as there are gullible and easily misled people, there will be Pat Robertsons.

That's such a poor argument. The Law School is a legitimate law school, and the fact that someone graduated from there or from any other legitimate law school should never restrict their involvement anywhere. Pat Robertson has become a sort of a bad joke lately, no doubt. But that doesn't mean that he's never created anything worthwhile in his life. Furthermore, Regent University is not run by Robertson, and has many solid leaders with sound experience. Nor is it called the "Pat Robertson Law School". Your facts are all screwed up. You've been listening to too many talk show losers. Enough prejudice against Christians, thank you. Your idea is insulting.

The Bible says, "Let God be true, but every man a liar..." Rom. 3:4. Popes and councils, even ecumenical councils, have often erred and contradicted one another same as Pat Robertson.
It also warns, "See to it that no one deceives you by philosophy and vain deceit, according to human traditions, according to the elements of the world and not according to Christ." Col. 2:8
We are commanded and exhorted to grow in knowledge (2 Pet. 3:18), study (2 Tim. 2:15), exercise senses (Heb. 5:14), search (Acts 17:11), receive (James 1:21), read (Eph. 3:3-4), desire it (2 Pet. 2:2), let it unfold (Psalm 119:130), meditate on it day and night (Psalm 1:2) hear it read (Rev. 1:3), have it preached (2 Tim. 4:2-4; 1 Pet. 4:11), test what is said (1 John 4:1; Matt. 7:15-16) and prove all things (1 Thess. 5:21).
This is God's way, the only one He gives for understanding the holy Scriptures.

You are correct, not only would someone else step up, they are lined up to take his position. This is because there are many people in our society that feel and need a supposed anointed leader like Pat Robertson.
Too bad that news reporting of the trivial exposes us to his prattle.

Not everything Robertson says or does is ridiculous.
He's just suffering from the same type of pride other celebrities have experienced when they found themselves at the head of a world wide television empire, flush with viewers ... and generating lots of cash.
Many of us tend to shoot our mouths off at times.
When Robertson does it, he does it on televison, for all to see.
And people aren't stupid. They know when he messes up, and their patience has limits.
These things have a way of working themselves out.
In the mean time, try not to take him so seriously.

I agree. The followers create the leader. Or maybe not. Maybe the leaders exploit the fears of the followers. Maybe the machine behind Pat Robertson would simply insert a clone in his stead.

Probably. By the same token, if Robertson's followers went away or developed common sense, Robertson would be nothing but an idiot on the street.
(As opposed to an idiot on the TV)

It's a matter of supply and demand. People WANT someone doing that job, so someone will be there to replace him. I mean, how much does the job pay? I'm not a Christian, but maybe the pay is good? I mean, what more motivation do you need?
