There are software programs that you can download on the Internet. You can file your taxes with a professional tax person or do it on the Internet. You have until April 15th to mail your check to the IRS or the state if you owe money. If you have a refund coming, Uncle Sam does not care when you file, there is no penalty.

Try taxbrain.com or taxact.com - Taxact.com is great because you don't pay until you actually file the return electronically. You can do the entire return without paying, you just can't hit the 'submit electronically' button until you enter credit card info. You can even view your tax return and print it out if you want.
