I had both for my wedding. My sister, who was married, was my matron of honor, and my best friend - unmarried was my maid. His brother - again married, was the best man who walked with my sister, and his best friend walked w/my maid. It all worked out great.
You can have one best man walk with both of them down the aisle, or have the matron of honor walk alone if you don't want 2 best men.
Congrats and best of luck!

Hey Congrats on your upcoming nuptials!!
Yes, it's totally ok to have both maid and matron of honor. And no, your groom doesn't have to have 2 best men (unless he *wants* two!). While it presents a sense of balance (for the pictures) to have an equal number of attendants on each side, there is no rule that says you can't have more bridesmaids than groomsmen, or vice versa.
The wedding is the celebration of your marriage. It's personal to you and your groom. Do what is meaninful to the both of you.
Have a great time and enjoy a lifetime together!

Of course its okay, its your wedding. All the weddings ive been to that had both maid and matron had two best mans. But I guess you could do it either way.

I had both a matron and a maid, my sister and my best friend from grade school. My husband had two also. His father and his best friend from grade school. My best friend and his best friend stood closest and then was his father and my sister. When the time came, my sister held the bouquet and my best friend handed over his ring. That way they both were involved. And as for the best man, his father had kept up witht he ring all along, b/c his best friend is somewhat less than trustworthy to have not lost my ring, his father held on to it, then handed it to the best friend right before the preacher asked for it. It worked out very well.
It's your day, so do it how you want it! Congrats!

You can most definitely have 1 of each...and there doesn't have to be 2 best men...one best man can escort both maids of honor, or a groomsman can escort the other MoH. Both sides don't have to be even either, so keep that in mind.

No, just one. The other would be a bridesmaid, or groomsman.
