My suggestion would be, if you are already settled into your own home and don't really want to move, but need to help her and take care of her, why not move her down with you or by you. There are always assisted living apartments for the elders. Just a thought for you to check into , cuz would probalby be cheaper then trying to move your whole family and taking your daughter out of her school and away from her friends and having to find new jobs etc... Just a thought!! Good luck!

Are you in the military? If so, fly Space A. There is a waiting list, but it's free. If not, drive (in your car that has the best mileage) to Washington and pack food and supplies and food for the trip so as to minimize tempting pitstops to grab fastfood. Do what you have to, sounds like your mother-in-law is in some serious need of assistance, and she deserves to see her granddaughter. Hope this helps!

I just recently moved a 4 bedroom house full of furniture using a rental truck towing my car from salt lake city utah to omaha nebraska. It cost 799.00 for the truck and 359.00 for diesel fuel.

I rented the truck from penske.com

Penske has the best trucks for moving they aren't like the junk uhaul leases. so if you need to go to washington then get online and talk to someone at penske and they will give you an idea what it would cost to rent thier equipment.

I rented their largest truck, you may not need that large of a truck. Or maybe you don't really need to rent a truck to move, if that's the case then you are looking at fuel an meals and motel rooms probably about $1,000.00 total from illinois to washington state.

Depends on how much furniture you have, the less the better, so try and firstly get rid of any junk you might not absolutely need.
Then I think you might be able to rent a U-Hall truck, if you want to drive. If you cant drive there with your stuff, then sell everything you can and fly there. Buy everything new, unless you can find second hand, or your mother in law should have furniture you can use. Good Luck
