Do you think that even the smallest creatures (spiders, bugs, ants) are as equal as the bigger ones??

I go out of my way when i'm walking not to squash ants and bugs, if i see a bug introuble i'll save it just as you would if you saw a dog/cat introuble? and ants are great to just stop and watch.

Does anyone else feel this way??

Yes, I feel this way also. It doesnt matter if its a bug or a cat, I save it if its in trouble. I go out of my way also. Life is life now matter who or what you are. After all "A who is a who no matter how small..."

I totally agree... just because they are smaller doesn't mean that they aren't as important. Just imagine our life without ants... or spiders. Imagine the enormous amounts of mosquitos if there were no mosquito hawks, which eat mosquitos, (they are insects that look like larger mosquitos and happen to be male mosquitos.) Imagine life without any of these creatures and your world would already be falling down.

Also, these creatures are sometimes even more strong, creative, smart, or used to their environments then we are. A lot of them... the majority, in fact... have been along for much longer!

These tiny creatures, and even insects, make life go round! Without them, life would be totally different.

Save a bug today!

I agree with you, The way I see things, it's the soul of the being that matters, the size of the shell - be it the human body or a tiny exosketelton, is irrelevant. If I see an earthworm crossing the path when raining I quickly move my step to get out of stamping on it (if only they had the intelligance to dig a little deeper to avoid drowning rather than up and over!!)

No I'm superior to all creatures, including all other humans, (insert evil laugh here). No really, you can not say that I am worth the same as an ant. As some of the larger animals, like gorilla's.... maybe.

Not me. I kill an ant every time I get a chance. Spiders I leave because they eat ants.

I'm sure some people will qoute scrpture saying that it is ok to kill bugs but I believe that is just part of the hypocrisy of religion. If life is sacred then ALL life should be sacred. However, that is never the case.

In order to keep a good balance in your life you have to appreciate the intricate balance that is our beautiful world. There are people who miss the lessons they could learn about a hard days work. From watching ants.

I feel that way.

I only murder roaches, fire-ants, wasps, mice, and rats. In fact, I have to put some rat poison baits up in my attic very soon. Before they chew up the new wiring.

Being an ex-exterminator-yes. I do not kill bugs just because they are bugs. I capture and relese bugs that I may find I my house. However, dangerous critters I do kill. I will kill black and brown widows, wasps and bees if they nest too close. I will also kill a pit-viper.

I don't go out of my way to kill things, but I don't put value on all life. For example, plants are life too!

I think it's best to minimize unnecessary suffering. That's why I like free range farms instead of factory farms, I don't like exterminating prairie dogs, etc.
