My hair is long and gets knots tangled in it. Whats a good conditioner or shampoo to use? Or a natural solution that is environmentally friendly?

Use a detangler and a moisturizing conditioner along with a wide-tooth comb. Do this while the hair is wet.

Use a smoothing, conditioning, moisturizing shampoo. This will keep your hair smooth and hopefully tangle-free. When you brush your hair, start from the bottom and work your way up. Also, you can buy detangling hair spray from your local drugstore. It may be for little kids, but it works. I think it's like an orange-y bottle, maybe? I forget the brand but you can look in the hairsprays or where the little kid shampoos and stuff are.

I have hair down to my waist and I use a big gob of conditioner in the shower and sorta work my fingers thru it why its all slick, then i let it dry mostly before brushing it. Brushing tangles out of wet hair can cause a lot of breakage plus I think it hurts more. If its still tangled I use a spray leave in conditioner like herbal essence of pantene to work the knots out. Also wearing certain necklaces and shirts with tags or hairbows with embellishments on them can lead to more tangles. At night braid you hair into a loose braid to avoid morning tangles. Goodluck!!

If you want to get a great shampoo and conditioner that won't break the bank, use panteen! I love Ice Shine, great for shinny tangle free hair. If you are worried about build up use a clarifying shampoo once a month.

In the babies section of the soaps and shampoos, there is a spray that you can get for that. I think it is called No More Tangles. Or something like that. It is from Johnson and Johnson.
