I have a baby greenwing, and she too eats like there's no tomorrow. And, when she's done eating her food, then she'll nip at us and try to swallow our fingers. LOL They'll lighten up when they get a bit older. I'm not telling you that they always won't be pigs (because Rio is almost 6 and he's STILL a monster)...LOL
Good luck!

Hell yeah! My parrot is a little piggy! She loves fruit, especially red apples. It is also good to feed them boiled eggs with the shell attached, and they love millet spray which is a very fine seed. My parrot also loves melon, toast with butter (although some prefer it without!) seeded batch type bread, and dried corn. You should look up on the net all the stuff other peoples parrots eat! They are lovely pets. My Parrot loves taking a bath. Get a shallow bowl and fill it with water and put it at the bottom of your parrots cage, they look so cute when they are taking a bath! Hope you have loads of fun with your new pal xx

If she is eating a lot, then feed her veggies in the morning, and then pellets and a small amount of seed and fruit in the afternoon. It is hard to convert parrots to healthy food, but if you start now you'll have a healthy bird.
Let her eat, don't limit the "healthy food" (fresh veggies) ...
but do limit seed--which can cause liver damage if they eat it as a main source of food over a long period of time.
Make sure there is always fresh water and pellets for your bird to eat at all times! It's young, so don't starve it, or limit anything other than seed.

Usually, it is somewhat traumatic, for the little guys, when they change their known environment, but sounds like yours has adjusted quickly, and is completely happy... Sure!!! Let him eat all he can and will, it is good for him!!! Make sure he gets people food, and lots of love and attention!!! The only thing he can't have is avocado(guacamole), it is poisonous to parrots!!! Take good care of him, you have a friennnnnd there for life---Birdman

Let it eat. It is growing fast like a human baby would. Have a great experience.

He ate a lot. I told my older brother. "My God he's eating me ouy of house and home. My brother said not to worry. He'll taper off.
I pass that on to you.
