Your question and the answers you have received so far proves what I have thought true, atheists believe in God, they just don't want to be under God's ownership. They are angry with God. How could any intelligent person refuse a God that they knows exists.

1. If I knew he was real.
2. If I was convinced that serving him would be beneficial both to myself and others around me; i.e., an improvement over things currently.
There's more to it than just believing. Jesus I'm okay with, but the God of the Old Testament I want nothing to do with.

theres a reason God/Christ didn't have the religion act like that. "you have seen and you believe, it is better for those who have not seen and yet believe". If everyone saw God and accepted him we would essentially be robots. You can only go so far with deductiuon on this topic, beacuse it eventuallycomes down to , "Why did God make us?" and humans cannot comprehend the mind of the supernatural maker.

If I know God is real, then that God would not need my service or slavery thus I shall not serve any God, because if S/He is a true God then S/He has no need of my service.

If this turned into bizarro world and there was a christian god, I wouldn't serve his dumb a ss, after all the suffering he would let happen to his "children" What a loser, absentee dad he is. That god would be a jack off and I would let him know it. I would probably bit ch slap his stupid as s too.

no I would laugh in his face.... No if I had actual proof he existed I would accept and serve him, but only because I don't want him to burn me with a lightning bolt. I don't like any one controllng my destiny but me.
EDIT: Actually, you know what, I wouldn't, he doesn't like me or my entire family, we're all atheist.
