I believe in life before death. I'll handle life after death when I get there.

There is an old saying, "I have been blessed twice; once with life and once with death. Those two are guaranteed. Everything else is up to you." I completely believe a different existence awaits you after death on earth, but to actually die without the afterlife is for those who are truly evil and will cease to exist--that is what hell is. I don't believe many people fall under the truly evil category. When you are young you will ask this question but usually by 40 you feel at peace and it's not so scary. So I'm guessing you're young.

There is no life after death. Death is the end of life. The creation and maintain of life depends on the enviroment and chemical reactions. The intelligent in humans is the result of natural procedure. A molecule in every living creature has its own intellingence and depends on the DNA library that it contains. The physical procedure in nature is born, reproduce, death. So this tranformation from energy to matter, matter to energy is called life and it is a natural procedure with a start and for sure an end.

There is so much veiled from our view as physical creatures it's beyond our ability to fathom.

A brief story about the spiritual life from my personal history:

In the late '60s I had a girlfriend in Germany (I was a soldier). When I left Germany she and I stayed in touch by Post but in the mid-70s we lost contact with one another. I thought she might be dead.

She had a daughter (not by me) with whom I was also connected. She was a sweeet young 4 year old when I knew her and she saw me as something of a father-figure. The little girl and I also stayed in touch by mail. She had been put in a Kinderheim (orphanage) because something happened to her Mom. I wrote Natalia in her new home often.

One day, in about 1985, I was laying on my bed one Sunday afternoon and a very strange feeling overwhelmed me. I felt I NEEDED to talk with the youngster (her name is Natalia). I called the Kinderheim (or attempted to), I tried to call the Munich Police, in search of Natalia's Aunt (remember I thought her Mom was dead) but again wihout success.

I laid the phone down in its cradle and resumed watching TV. Five minutes or so passed and the phone rang. On the other end of the line was Natalia's Mom, calling me from Germany.

YIKES!! I had just experienced a spiritual happening. NO ONE KNEW I'D CALLED ANYONE BECAUSE I NEVER MADE CONTACT WITH A SOUL IN GERMANY.

Conclusion: ESP is real. There is a spiritual life which I do not understand. If this is true, as I now am convinced it is, then there most probably is a life after death and the "handbook" on it is the Holy Bible.

Enjoy the read.

Yes, I believe in life after death, but only because I have found the bible and God to be true. That is where I get all my information from on this. Jesus, when he left this earth, (and there were eyewitnesses around when this happened, and over his whole life...), said he goes to prepare a place for us. He said, If it wasn't so, I would have told you. What an amazing promise. There is talk in the bible of a new heaven and a new earth. There is in heaven, a city where a river runs through it, streets of gold, and seas of glass, etc. There will be seraphim and cherubim, and the real life to live with God that we were made for. This is the best part of it all. One of my favorite verses alludes to the "rest", that I don't have time or space for here..
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has entered into the heart of man, what God has in store for those that love Him".
Think of the best place, doing the best of things, with your favorite people, etc, and you have not begun to imagine what is in store for us. Keep seeking truth always, nothing else matters. :)

Someone close to me had open heart surgery for about 10 hours and when then finished, was still having bleeding problems so they opened him back up for another 3 hours. He died during the surgery , but they were able to revive him. This person was not particularly religious or spiritual, but later after many months of recovery told me he had a conversation with "the Man", meaning God. It was interesting to see his whole attitude toward life change for several years after this experience. He had a second open heart surgery about 5 years later and his attitude going in was much different. He was not afraid at all and told us so and said if it was his time to go he was prepared and not afraid at all. Fortunately, he is still around!

I believe as the Bible says that it is appointed unto a man once to die, and after this, the judgement. I recently read a book called "the Dying Testimonies of Saved and Unsaved." It was fascinating. People seeing old relatives, angels, the glories of heaven, and others feeling themselves being pulled into hell, actually experiencing the feeling of burning, etc, It was pretty intense.

Man can not even visualize not being...there is something in us...an innate godliness that causes us to be this way. Here is a test of this: What was life like before you were born? What will life be like after you die? You can see both times even though you "don't of didn't exist then..."

Death is inevitable. The thief on the cross knew when his would occur, but we can not predict our own. After his death, the crucified criminal went to live in paradise with Jesus. Some of us will also live eternally in God's presence. But others will experience everlasting torment, forever separated from Him.
If we receive Jesus as our Savior, our penalty for sin is paid. We are adopted into God's family, and Heaven is our eternal home. If we reject Jesus, we remain alienated from the Lord and under condemnation for our sin. We are destined to experience eternal judgment. God won't accept any of man's excuses because there is no acceptable defense for unbelief. (Acts 4:12)
Become part of God's family today. Acknowledge your sinfulness, and express your faith in these words:
"God, I have sinned against You. (Romans 3:23) I've followed my own way and refused to give You the right to rule in my life. (Romans 3:10-12) I recognize I am separated from You and cannot rescue myself. I do believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I accept the truth of the Scriptures? that His death on the cross paid my sin-debt in full. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) And I ask You to forgive me of my sins. (1 John 1:9) By faith, I receive You, Lord Jesus, as my personal Savior from this moment on."
If you just spoke those words to God, then, like the thief on the cross, you have received salvation? a gift of God's grace. The heavenly Father welcomes every person who comes to Him through His Son, regardless of background, age, or current situation. Through Jesus, the right to enter paradise is yours!
