The meetings of Jehovah's Witnesses are open to the public; there is nothing secretive about them.
Generally, a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses is built without windows only in areas which tend toward hate crimes and vandalism against houses of worship. Sadly, it seems that the questioner must be from an area with a reputation for bigotry and lawlessness.
Jehovah's Witnesses are proven to be true Christians based upon the Witnesses' preaching work and the anti-Witnesses' bigoted hatred against them.
(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

Go in and ask them. They meet on Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM. Ask the first person you meet if you can speak to an elder and ask him a few questions. They'll be happy to help you.
By the way, the pillbox wouldn't have a sentry gun because Jehovah's Witnesses don't carry guns or participate in any armed force or national army.

Boy you ask a tough one.
The inside scoop is that Jehovah's Witness are a cult that started around 1870.
There are several very good sites to visit. John Ankerberg is a very well known Christian Apologist and Theologian who can answer your question in depth. http://www.ankerberg.com/
Jehovah's Witnesses were started in 1870 by a former Congregationalist minister who began predicting when the world would come to an end. Lots of strange predicitions were made and finally in the early 1980's they quit.
Their belief system is built on a non-belief in hell or condemnation. Well, the one thing they have to do to eliminate the consequences of hell is to change the nature or doctrine of who Jesus Christ is, the one who holds the keys to death and hell in his hands. We will all stand before Jesus someday and answer for what we have done in this life.
Around 1950 the Watchtower Society, (JW ruling body), finally put together their own bible called the New World Translation and since 1950 have consistantly and conviently kept changing scriptures to fit what they want to present about Christ.
The most notable change is the beginning of the Gospel of John where they have changed the wording.
John Chap 1 v.1
In the beginning there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was God.
New World Translation reads
In the beginning there was the Word. The Word was with God, and the Word was a god.
The Greek word for "God" is "Theos" and it is spoken twice in the scripture here in verse 1 of John.
They have conveniently changed it to "a god" which does not fit the translation of Theos. There is no word for "a" or "an" in Greek. And by saying this, they demote Jesus to one of many gods.
Taking it even farther, they state that God did not actually come down and make Mary pregnant for the Virgin brith. None of that can be easily explained in there point of view. They simply want to say that Michael the ArchAngel came down and took on a kind of "cloak" in human forn and when Jesus would have gone back up to heaven Michael simply shed that existence and became Michael again.
Read more and study more at the website I gave you.
Hope that helps

No to seem rude but most of my family is JW's and I have been to their "halls" many times with my grandmother. There are windows, so don't be silly. Jehovah's Witnesses believe in many of the same things the "normal" churches teach. There are only minor differences such as they don't believe in hell, the refer to it as the common grave of man. Yes, they do believe in the devil. They also believe that only the most worthy will be the ones to get in to heaven, only 144,000 will be excepted. They do not partake in any holiday's including there own birthday's b/c they believe that everyday should be devoted to Christ, and as for Christmas they do not partake in that b/c they believe that Jesus was not born on 12/25 but that no actual date is given. They do invite people to come to service and its just not for the witnesses themselves. JW's have to meet a hourly "quota" of traveling service. They go door to door handing out magazine's called "The Watchtower and The Awake" they try to educate people in the "truth" and ask people to come with them to service. JW's go to a monthly convention to gather with 100's of other JW's in the area. The "hall" consists of "elders" or the head of the congregation. This position can only be held by men. If you have any other questions just ask and I will be sure to answer. Sorry if I came off a little rude, trying not to..:)

If you are really that curious, go to the next meeting being held there.
There are no collection plates passed.
No one will look down on you if you aren't dressed in a suit or tie.
No one will attack you or criticize you.
Instead of listening to negative comments, learn to think for yourself.

You really should get out more. The cabin fever is causing illusions.

This is getting old. The Kingdom Halls are fully open for anyone to see, if they didn't fear going in and learning something they didn't know before.

And 23 more in the last six months. If you want to know, go there during a meeting and look. Any time there are cars in the lot there should be a meeting going on. Unless you are afraid.

They are good, hard working people who truly believe that they have the truth about God and the Bible. A lot of what they teach, is the truth but not all of it. They think they are the people of the new Jerusalem and not the Jews of old. They think they are right and are blind to anything anyone else tries to tell them. Like other groups they will know the real truth when Jesus returns to rule the earth but they'll have to hear it from him before they believe they're wrong.

Stupidity, hidden inside...because they are a cult if you read their Watch Tower and listen to the spew that comes out of their mouths when they are 'preaching'. I have been subjected to them all my life. I have had some good friends that were JW but really didn't 'practice'. The stories they told me! OMG! What a horrid bunch...don't even get me started on them.

They are a secret society of 144,000 waiting to be taken to heaven. They think they will be the only ones there. So do the Church of Christ, and the Mormons.
