Why did it supposedly take god 6 days to create the earth?
If he was almighty couldn't he have created in in one day, minute, or second, or even millisecond?
Does god like to watch us suffer, if not then why hasn't he saved humanity and destroyed Satan?
Why is it that the Christians criticize and even torture others for having different beliefs?
Why is it that so many "Christians" call them selves Christians if they constantly break the commandments?
Why is it so easy for Christians to get rid of their sins?
Why does the bible contradict itself so much?
Why do we even have religions?

Why is it that we have to suffer because of Adam and Eve?
Imagine if we were able to live during their lifetime, you have made the same mistake?
If not then why are you still suffering here on earth?

According to the bible:
"But you must be perfect, even as your father in heaven is perfect"
- Matthew 5:48

If human beings aren't perfect that does that mean they can't enter into "heaven"?

Also, the bible states:
"You must be holy because i am holy"
-1 Peter 1:16
So does that mean we can never enter into heaven unless we are priests, nun, monks, popes?

Do you now see all the corruption?

You will have to decide that for yourself. But to me... No.

If you define god as the energy that powers this existence, clearly there is something there that can be called God. I don't go in for the idea of someone up there manipulating my life.

I think the 6 days idea was to show that it was carefully planned and not just thrown togther.

There is no such thing as Satan - the enemy is our own negative thoughts and hell is the personal one we create here on earth with our own negative emotions.

Christians seem to believe that when judgement day comes we will all be judged as a group and so they are trying to get as many on their team as possible so their group can prevail. Some are actually pained by the idea that others will be burned and tortured in their idea of hell.

It is hard to be human. For some, it is hard to be without sin - and some feel that payment for their sins has already been collected.

All that is required to get rid of sin is forgiveness - mostly self forgiveess - no matter what religion you are.

The bible was written by people and I don't think they understood the concept of continuity director in those days.

Religion is a human construct, designed to help us explain and understand ourselves and the world around us. People do this automatically and then some clever person realized that if they organized a religion they could have more power as a group to shape the world they way they want it. That's all.

Peace!

Yes God is real

God chose to do it that way, if He wanted do it in a wink of an eye He would. I believe that, because God's perfect number is seven he decided to make the earth in 6 days and rest on the 7th.

No, He doesn't like to see us suffer. But he gave us will to choose between good and evil, God and Satan. Man can only be saved through the provisions made by God and ultimately Satan will be destroyed.

Please do not mistake Christians for Muslims criticism is prevalent but torture is out of the question.

There is no man that has ever kept all of God's commandments because of our weakness. The Bible says all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. That is why provisions are made for us to repent.

Because Jesus already took care of it for us. Before Jesus' time people were struck down almost immediately after they had sinned.

Darline, the Bible does not contradict itself, you just don't understand what it is saying. Some people interpret the Bible based on their prejudice and what they expect thus missing the true meaning of what is being said.

Because man wants to find ways to get rid of their guilt.

1) God could have created every thing is a moment.
2) Satan is here to give us a comparison, so we can see how good God is.
3) Not all Christians understand what it means to be like Jesus.
4) Many people are only "so called Christians", in name only, not living up to the standard of the Bible.
5) Jesus paid the price, we have to only repent of them (some times this is not easy), getting rid of what causes the sin is harder.
6) It does not. For an explanation of many so called contradictions got to the site below.
7) Because we have a empty place in us that only God can fill.

You have a great point. But do you know why we have sin? Well remember when eve eat from the tree of knowledge? Well that was very reason why. Because they made that mistake we had to suffer for it. Also the discipline she got was to have a painful labor, that's why we demon have painful labor, Adams discipline was for his farming to be bad. Thats why men work so hard. When god died on the cross he died so everyone didn't have to. So in return when we pray our sins are forgiven. With the bible thing i wounder the samething too. Why do people have religion well i guess some people beleive in different thing. Just like in bio. today in school, we talked about how the earth was made. Lots of people believe in the bang thery & some believe in god making the earth. A nother ? is how was god made? I have heard that when we die and go to heaven we will understand, (you can ask him yourself) . But do you ever wish he could talk to you like areal human would? I shure do. We are called christians because we believ in him. That doesn't mean we are perfect in any way. We still are allowed to make mistakes.

oooh! i like answering these! :D
ok im 15 so may not know everything but i do know some! ok! so here goes i will try!

your 1st quest. back then you don't know how long was a day... it could have been a few seconds or a lifetime! the whole point of that 6 days story is that you should work 6 days and rest the 7th! and another point is that God created the earth!

2nd quest. God DOESNT like to watch us suffer! why would He, He loves us. Satan is there to try to take you away from the good of God! Humans have something called FREE-WILL! he cant make everyone act a certain way because then it doesnt count. If He FORCED everyone to act good all the time then there really wouldnt be nice or evil people. We make ourselves suffer! if WE decided to be nice then we wouldnt suffer!

3rd quest. ok you can't say all christians do that because I don't and I know alot of peaple who don't. people have the right to choose what they want to do and if they feel ok by critizing other people then its on them. it is WRONG to critizies others on what they believe. SOME christians may do that but NOT ALL!

4th quest. NO ONE IS PERFECT!!! everyone makes mistakes once in a while we cant help it. we fall into traps that Satan sets for you! and in those traps you show how strong your will is!

5th quest. it is not easy for christians to get rid of sin! im a catholic so we go to reconciliation. which is were we go talk to the priest tell him our sins and he DOESNT FORGIVE THEM because Jesus died for your sins already but he helps you through it he gives you advice in what you should do. we belive that you should forvive others if you want to be forgiven yourself.

6th quest. the Bible is NOT a history book! it is not filled w/ facts. the stories are there to show a certain point. like the story of creation, God created the earth, thats the point in that story. these are stories that were INSPIRED by God, that people wrote down. It is not like every little word must be a fact and must be the same in all the other stories.

7th quest. ok we have religions because... when Jesus came into the world he told Peter "And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prvail against it." (Matthew 16:18) so at that point the Catholic Church was founded. So the Catholic Church was around for a while, then came along Martin Luther and he didnt like the Catholic church so he decided to make his own church, which is now the Lutheran church, which was founded in 1522, and then after that other PEOPLE didn't like the churches that were around so they founded new ones like... King Henry VIII founded the Anglican Church of England, in 1534. John Knox of Scotland founded the Presbyterian Church, in 1580. and so on.
Jesus founded the Catholic Church and the protestant churches were founded by people who didnt like the excisting churches, they are branches of the Catholic Church.

I hope this is helpful to you! if you want to ask anything else feel free to ask me! I am willing to help! :)

Nothing is real except the One True God.
He is the real Being, all created things are less than His shadow.
Usually, man does not learn to know himself, so he cannot know God.
Most people think that they are the smaller world and the universe is the greater one, while the reverse is true. God does not say He creates the universe in His image, but man is in His image and likeness. And man potentially has all the divine attributes that the universe does not have.
So the more man learns about his own reality, he will become more thankful to God and conducting a life worthy to this greatest favor. In the same time, he becomes truly humble, because he realizes that he is utter nothingness before his Creator and dare not utter any blasphemous words.
Religions are divine schools established by the Messengers of the One True God to teach mankind about all these great things in Their Holy Books.

Hmm...would you like christian answers or atheist answers?

Christian answers:
0. Yes, of course.
1. The Earth is a big place! I mean, could YOU make the world in six days? No? Then stop criticizing God's work.
2. That isn't what 'omnipotent' means.
3. What are you talking about? God loves us! He only leaves Satan and evil in existence because He knows that's best for us. He knows sometimes we have to suffer in order to be happiest in the end.
4. They are heathens, and if we allow their continued existence, they will teach our children false beliefs.
5. Haven't you read the Bible? Everyone sins (except Jesus, of course), the ones who go to Heaven are the ones who repent for their sins.
6. Because Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross to pay for everyone else's sins.
7. It doesn't, you just need to interpret it in the way it was meant to be interpreted.
8. We have christianity because God loves us and Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and people recognize those facts and worship God. We have other religions because, thousands of years ago, evil people misled others to believe in false gods and to hate the One True God.

Atheist answers:
0. No.
1. Who knows? We can only assume that he COULD have done it quicker and just decided not to.
2. It makes sense that he could have.
3. Apparently God either enjoys our suffering or is indifferent to it, OR he is not actually omnipotent.
4. Not all christians do this. Those who do usually do it because they think those people are heathens and they want to enforce their beliefs on everyone else, even if it means violence.
5. They believe that they can get to Heaven anyway by repenting for their sins.
6. Because the religions that made it difficult all died out.
7. It was written by many different people.
8. During cave man times, religion was beneficial because it kept people working together, and over many thousands of years our brains evolved to be receptive to religious ideas. The past few thousand or few hundred years during which religion has been detrimental due to an increasing understanding of sociology have not been nearly enough time to reverse this innate gullibility.

I LOVE your question, and I hope you are really looking for answers.

The real answer to most of this is I DON'T KNOW.

And you are correct about many people who call themselves Christians. Many are hypocritical and judgemental. The bible says in John 3:17 - "For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him." So I will not judge you for your beliefs either. In fact when Jesus was here, he hung out with regular people like you, not the religous leaders of the day.

The historic proof of theses people and places are documented all over the world in different historic documents. The contradictions are between the old and the new testament. The NT came to be to replace the OT. In the nut-shell, we were directed to rule with love instead of laws.

I came to believe in this when I realized that I can not explain LOVE. Love is real, and you can feel it in the air like electricity between people. This is truly supernatural, and when you experience it, you'll realize that there is more to life. I hope you feel the love that I'm sending your way now. My prayers are with you.

One day you'll look back at your life and see all of the places God tried to talk to you, but you didn't hear him because you didn't know his voice.

Remember that without choice, there can be no love. You can't make somebody love you. So, for you to truly love God, you must have free will. And since that is the case, many do bad things with their will. So, bad things happen, but so do good. It's a nessescary part of the formula.

I'll quit rambling now, and I apolagize for all of my brothers and sisters who have offended you, and judged you.

Religion is a man made concept as is the bible..designed to keep the non thinking drones among us in line and provide income for all the various churches and organizations...Christians and other denominations love nothing better than to be able to say..see im better than thou..i believe..sad but true ..and the cause of so much death and destruction in this world, religion like politics is a subject best left to the poor morons out there. Just imagine where the human race would be without all the strife and division caused by religion!!
Does God exist?.......If he does he is a lousy designer...
