When I cry(which is usually because I never get listened to by anyone), I have a really bad migraine, that stops me from crying, but hurts terribly. This happens about once a week. I don't have a lot of friends, and I get teased a lot. I don't like getting out of the house a lot, and I have Social Phobia. Would there be something mentally wrong with me?

I was exactly like you in high school. I had practically no friends and was very very shy. I afraid of speaking to people and blushed a lot, some people actually thought I was mute! I got teased a lot too b/c I was one of the few asians in my school and quiet (which is an easy target for bullies b/c i didn't speak up for myself) I rarely left my house to hang out with friends and was sad b/c noone understood me. I think you're suffering from depression b/c depression can cause health problems like headaches, tiredness, and sadness. If you're in school, I think the best thing is to talk to either a counselor or an understanding teacher, if you're not, maybe you go to a therapist for help. Trust me it will get better in time. I went off to college and made an strong effort by making friends the first day I went to classes b/c i wanted a new start. I started realizing that there a lot of nice people out there with whom I could make friends and talk with. Now I have lots of good friends and am happy. I know it will work out for you. If you do need someone to talk to about your problems, you can always email me at flowerwei80@hotmail.com. Hope everything works out!

Nothing is wrong with you. So what if you are a little more emotional and dont go to parties every night. You are just shy. and you do not need a lot of friends or have a clique just a few close friends is fine. Maybe to get out your feelings without crying and the stressful headaches try going to a physchiatrist because they definitely will listen to you. Good Luck! :-)

Tell you the honest truth, no. Try to ignore the teasing and stuff and say in your head, "Yeah, yeah, say what you want to say but it is you that is making yourself look stupid." Normally with increased levels of stress and negative emotions you can get migraines that are quite severe. I hope that the jerks that keep teasing you stop and that your life gets easier to handle. Also I hope you are able to get some more friends. I hope that answered your question. Good Luck.

If you know that you have social phobia, have you already had some psychological counseling? If not, you need to get this. There are medications that can be very helpful with social phobia.

Migraines are physical problems but can be brought on by stress.
My heart goes out to you. Please get some professional help and medications for your problems. You don't have to continue to feel so bad.

Yes, and I would get therapy.

It's ok, there is something mentally wrong with all the popular girls too. *grin* There is something mentally wrong with most of us.

What is important is whether you want to change or not. If you want to improve your situation then things can, and will get better.

You just need a very good friend to hang around with. One that supports you and listens to you.
