Since Darwinism and other evolutionists have come up with these evolution theories, why do you athiests cling to this so much? I don't get it. Theories are merely theories, not FACTS right? Help me understand.
Please please no insults. When I ask questions to athiests, I seem to get a few insulting ones, I am just asking...don't try to determine the weight size of my brain or my spirituality by the honest questions that I ask. Thanks

Evolution is just that-theory, not factual. But if a person wants to live like the devil then they will belive anything to keep from being accoutable to their creator. The bible has been proven over and over to be PURE FACT. Inspired by God

Theory: A coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena.
Correct, a theory is not a fact. But calling something a theory doesn't make it false.
Evolution is not a fact, because facts deal with pieces of evidence rather than comphrensive theories; but that does not mean it's false. It's merely an explaination for life as it exists today. An excellent explaination by the way. Weighing the evidence, there is far more evidence in favor of evolution than there is in favor of creationism or intelligent design, whatever such ideas it may be called.
I would encourage you to read through the literature on evolution if you haven't already done so.

The theory of evolution is as much a theory as gravity is. Theories are synthesized from a collection of data, observation, and FACTS. Evolution is based on a fantastic amount of factual evidence. Theories are strengthened, developed, and rejected based on new evidence. So far there has been no absolute factual evidence disproving evolution.
Questions, especially ones that cannot be resolved, are not enough to disprove theories.
Science does not back up atheism, nor is it a religion.
In a religion, people accept a set of beliefs and those are set in stone. Science is always under revision as more facts are found.

Scientific, empirical evidence is based on a process of thinking, which proves or disproves things according to the type of science and where it's coming from. Logical progression of thought? You might benefit from a course in logic to help you understand, then branch out to other forms of logic.
If somethings right in your face and you see how things ACTUALLY work, not just theoretically, unless you stick your head in the sand and deny deny deny, then obviously you start to see a logical progression of how a god cannot exist. Everything in the known universe and even to the part that has been growing from theory (the most recent discoveries) proves that everything in the universe is due to causes and conditions to arise and nothing is permanent, everything is changing... therefore, by a long (too long for me to go into in here, but could be done on the debate grounds), but not too long, I can refute the claims of an unchanging, all-knowing, all-powerful, creator being can exist.
It's just the way it works, and it's one of those things where you either choose to accept it or you stick your head in the sand and cry "foul", complain that atheists are against religion and so forth and fall hard on your "faith" tushie. It's a matter of choice. Reality vs. fantasy.

all: You are supposed to take these theories "on faith" not scientific proof and validation. Atheists are "Christians" becoming but haven't arrived there YET and do not realize it ! In war or battle, you will never find an atheist in the front lines. Atheism is for the "good" times when all is comfortable.
The "Russian Assassin"agrees that Darwinism is a crock too. (see his posting) !
P.S. There are hundreds of Scientists who reject the theory of evolution today. There is tons of scientific tangible proof to dispell the THEORY of evolution. Lots of scientific data exists in this modern era to disprove Darwin's theory. Atheists have no denial stance when evolution is disproved as this THEORY is dissected by CURRENT scientific evidence. Sorry most of you people ... you have been duped by assuming that your information from text books was correct when it REALLY wasn't. Then, again, isn't this the objective of science to acquire more knowledge and to prop-up established fact with more fact ? Live and learn ... er ... at least live, anyways !!!

I don't intend to dis' you. The first 2 links are about the scientific method of inquirey. If you understand and apply this it will help. It is really just a tool kit for clear thinking.

these links are about theory and how it works. Most people have no clue what they are saying when they say something is just a theory. Knowing what is required and expected of a valid theory should help you.

Well, in science, the word "theory" does not mean the same thing as it does in everyday talk. In science, a theory is something that exists with a body of evidence to back it up.
I'm not an atheist myself, but I guess people just get rude because they are very dedicated to what they believe. People need to be more open minded.

First: It's spelled ATHEISM. Little pet peeve of mine.
Second: There's a common misconception that "theory" means "guess." It doesn't.
In science, a theory means "the best explanation that fits all the facts that are currently known." It doesn't mean "something that the scientist dreamed up after being drunk all night."

I'm no atheist and science does not back it up. True science that is!! People will twist and bend the facts to fit their own desired outcomes. They'll say they don't or science doesn't but most of the humanistic scientists do. Christian scientists are much more accurate and factual than the others.
But Darwin on his death bed said he was wrong and evolution was wrong but it was too late to take it back. The lies were out of the bag. And folks didn't want to give up the evolutionary theory because it "liberated" them from God and His rules and being responsible for their actions. It also liberated them from life and made fools out of them. Who wants to be known as an advanced animal when deep down inside we all know we're something more?

Why would you expect to get non-insulting responses when you ask ignorant questions?
To directly answer your question, science has refuted the arguments that people have historically used to support their beliefs in gods. Many people persist in using those arguments, or simply lie about science (e.g., the guy above who tells the old lie that Darwin recanted on his deathbed, and the other guy who tells that lie about atheists recanting when faced with tough situations).
Now, just because those arguments are refuted and many Christians are resorting to outright lying doesn't prove that there is no god, but science certainly has left us in a state such that the default assumption that there isn't one is the clear result of current best evidence.

Theories are hypotheses that explain the interrelatedness of facts (called evidence) and are supported by predictions made by the hypothesis, more evidence. The "just a theory" applies equally well to gravity. You observe that objects fall (fact) you propose that all mass attracts other mass (hypothesis) and test the hypothesis by observing that planary orbits (more facts) conform to the hypothesis.
