If your 2 year old is not walking or talking yet, I would talk to your pediatrician. If your baby is not walking by 16 months, then there may be something wrong. Most if not all children are walking by then. All children do develop at their own pace, but according to the Denver Screening, your child is delayed. You can also talk to your parents as teachers person and get your child screened.

It could be a variety of things. You need to refer her to the local Early Start program. You can call the local school district to see if they run it; if they don't they will know who does. Early Start services are free services to children, birth-3 years old, who have developmental delays. If by age three the child is not caught up, then they will receive special education services through the school district. I work in Early Start and many of the children are just fine by age three. It's just a matter of catching them up, and early intervention is the key. I would not wait, because a child should be walking by 18 months, and have at least 20 words by 21 months.

It is a red flag when toddlers cannot walk past 18 months. I would go to your doctor just to rule out anything that could be wrong.

you could try and make her ask for things and talk to her like a reg person not in bby talk
hold on to her hands and walk around all around keep urging her to do things for herself
talking to your ped. wouldnt hurt

All babies develop at a different pace. You should tell your doctor about your concerns.
