how can i tell my family about my engagment to him we set a wedding date for june 7th 2007 my mind is telling me to hide it but my heart is saying slowly bring him around to my family and hope for the best but i don't know?

I take it your family hasn't even met him yet? WHY? At 34, you are entitled to do whatever you want and love whomever you choose to. You set a really close wedding date and you can't hide it from your parents and family forever. Why wouldn't you want them to be a part of your lives?? Just be open and honest and all will work out for the best!

just be honest, tell him that you dont want a long engagment, and your in love with the man who makes you happy and puts a smile on your face
