I didn't mean that Paul was gay. Very funny. I wanted to know because of the guy who posted about people being to afraid to condemn them. Thanks.

1 Corinthians 6:9 and Romans 1:28 are often used as references against homosexuality, however there is much debate that the translation isn't accurate; Paul might have been drawing from the some 600 sins of the Old Testament, of which modern Christians on average may fervently keep 50. The same laws allowed things like slavery and the death of a child who curses a parent; the law would also cause Christians to stop doing many things if they were all obeyed, like wearing clothing of blended materials.

Christians are not to condemn anyone. No one is without sin. We all have sinned and fallen short. The bible only tells us to love our brother and teach the gospel. People have to have the free will to make up their own minds and hearts as to whether or not they will believe and follow God. In my opinion, people who hate and condemn gay people or any other people for that matter and call themselves Christian are setting themselves up for a terrible downfall when judgment time comes. I also add, that they are terrible representatives of the Christian faith. For me personally I do as the bible instructs when the opportunity is at hand and I walk away with love if the gospel is rejected.

I am not sure if gays are condemned, even in Genesis with Sodom and Gomorrah. Aggressive homosexuality is obviously condemned because when the men wanted to do it with the masculine angels so bad that they were breaking down the doors and refused sex with Lot's virgin daughters, that is when all Hell broke loose on those two cities.

Sorry, didn't Paul write a lot of the Bible (most of the New Testament, anyway)?

How can you consider the writings of Paul not to be part of the Bible? We would not have much of a NT at all if you take him out.

The bible was written at a time when homophobia was non existent. Jesus was openly gay, enjoyed it and no one had anything to say about it. Obviously the bible does not say that gays should be condemned.
Homophobia is a recent mental disease. Religious homophobes will , of course, interpret the bible to say that it is against gays. Well, religious fanatics being delusional can interpret any text to pretend it says anything they want. I am certain they would quote tax laws and say that it means that god thinks this and that.

Paul was a murderer and a torturer, just because he "saw the light" doesn't make him God. He is still burning in hell and his writings should be taken out of the bible.

ONE of the clearest passages condemning Homosexuality is found in Romans 1:22-32.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible GOD into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four-footed beasts, and creeping things.
Wherefore, God also gave them up to uncleaness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves
Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
For this cause God gave them up unto VILE AFFECTIONS: FOR
EVEN THEIR WOMEN DID CHANGE THE NATURAL USE INTO THAT WHICH IS AGAINST NATURE;
And likewise also the MEN, LEAVING THE NATURAL USE OF THE WOMAN, BURNED IN THEIR LUSTS ONE TOWARD ANOTHER; MEN WITH MEN WORKING THAT WHICH IS UNSEEMLY, AND RECEIVING IN THEMSELVES THAT RECOMPENCE OF THEIR ERROR WHICH WAS MEET.
And even as theyu did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents;
Without understanding, covenant breakers, WITHOUT NATURAL AFFECTION, implacable, unmerciful;

wHO KNOWING THE JUDGMENT OF GOD, THAT THEY WHICH COMMIT SUCH THINGS ARE WORTHY OF DEATH, NOT ONLY DO THE SAME,
BUT HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM THAT DO THEM.
