I have searched for 3 different programs - each returns these results ( with similar file sizes ?why). When I try to download they have all had a virus.

Limewire is full of virus's, but they are easy to avoid. First off most of the virus's have the same file size. Avoid these files:
197.7kb - .zip file
228.0kb - .exe file (or around that #)
750.0kb - .rar file (or around that #)
Second if the file you are looking for, you know is gonna be a big file, then don't download a small one. My advice find a leggal way to download stuff.
