A venus flytrap and pitcher plant would actually be a very cool plants to grow even after you're done with the science fair project, but oftentimes they die due from the grower being misinformed about its cultivation requirements.

If you're up to the challenge and do a little research, you can definitely grow carnivorous plants successfully. I recommend taking a look at www.cobraplant.com. They have accurate grow sheets on there. But if you're keeping plants just for the science project, then lima beans are probably your best bet.

the only problem with beans is that when they get to tall, you have to start and stalk them.
i agree with the entry a few people above me with the Wisconsin Fast Plant. I used that for a science project and the grew really fast, a whole life cycle in about 40 days, Within the first two days, the seeds are already germinated

first of all, what grade are you in? My little ones had great fulfillment with pinto beans. you should use 3 diverse boxes for the beans to strengthen, like small paper cups. placed one on your window sill, lower than a basic and doubtless on your closet. See which bean grows perfect. Or (one in each of my little ones did this in junior extreme) construct a timber field the position 3 small paper cups can fit securely, about 8x12 length and make one hollow on the suitable of the field for the basic to enter. Feed your 3 diverse bean boxes diverse food; water, Pepsi, juice. you also could have one planted in soil, yet another in tissue and sand. See which one grows speedier, greener and etc. ***** maximum significant, keep a commonplace mag and track your beans each few days. i'm not a technology significant, only a mom who supported and helped with many initiatives.

Why is this topic so popular in science fairs? Plants do not respond to sounds weaker than a lawnmower (100 decibels), and that is simply due to vibrations.
