Okay well, ill be pretty wide open about it. I smoke daily, usually more than 2-3 times a day... but i always get that good long high at night. Lately i have been waking up with a horrible pain in my stomach, i chew on tums all morning long until i finally go to the bathroom and "flush my system" so to say. This hasnt happened to me before, although the last week seems to be when it started. Many would simply tell me to stop smoking illegal drugs and all that bullshit, but if your a smoker then you know its not like you can just give it up. Sometimes i get high just to get away from the stomach pains. I have had problems before with my kidneys bleeding because of a cyst inside of one, and i will urinate blood...but that hasnt happened for a long time and never gave pain so close to my stomach. All day saturday all i wanted to do (and all i did do) was lay on my bed in the dark with my eyes closed.I wasnt tired, just wanted left alone. Is this normal after smoking daily for a good year?

Im not on here for people to tell me to quit, im asking for help with how it is now. I wont be going to a doctor anytime soon either. What does prilosec do? ive seen the commercials but never looked what it was. Tums work after 3 hours or so

sounds like we smoke about the same amount...you know i always had stomach pains that my doctor could never resolve but i think they started before i became a smoker-i've smoked for about 4 yrs-in the past 6 months i've smoked a ton and i had a twisted stomach a lot-but i never associated the two- cuz i knew i had a horrible diet...anyway i changed my eating habits drastically-i pretty much avoid fatty or bad food as much as possible -no snacks, chips, etc. (hard w/the munchies i know!) but i haven't had the problems anymore-only when i eat something greasy or whatever.....maybe that would help you? plus i lost 30 lbs being on a healthy diet-another plus.....oh and my sister said that tums actually can back up your well...crapping abilities i guess-so it's totally possible that all those tums aren't helping-be careful cuz those problems could also be colon or digestive issues but i say watch your eating -see what happens...and do you drink? cuz i get sick when i drink alcohol....what helped me temporarily on my stomach was the pepto bismal tablets-only occassionally though-and smoking more-whoops-not best idea but oh well :)
duh i forgot......i take prilosec too-i started a few months ago-so the combo w/that & diet probably did it-i use to get wicked acid reflux too-but after a day or two of starting prilo i noticed it was mostly gone

I was a frequent smoker in my late teens and early twenties, though I've since completely givens it up (kids, you know.) After the first year or so of heavy smoking, I developed the same issue and it was ulcers. Prilosec is over-the-counter now and helped me a lot. Definitely go to the doctor if your condition doesn't improve after taking it for a few days though. Hope you feel better soon.

This is a very common problem with mari smoking. My hubby, his sis and bro all smoke and have this problem, his one sis that doesn't smoke doesn't have this problem. I have friends that have this prob that smoke mari. He has found that taking Prilosec daily helps. Also, if he doesn't eat after 8pm, this helps. I wish you could just give it up as it is a very expensive habit. But yes, it is normal (not all people get it) and when you do decide to give it up, it will eventually go away (when hubby doesn't smoke awhile, his stops).

I come from a family where we don't use alcohol or any legal or illegal drugs period, my advice is to embrace this clean style of living, you will not have any regrets. Nothing brilliant ever came from the end of a marijuana joint or a can of beer.

Good luck and hope you get the answers you need.

blunt wraps could be the source of your pain. smoke Ls all the time, and have the same pains too. But after a good number 2 i always feel better.420

You will want to see a doctor about this issue, although, don't mention you smoke pot but mention that you have stomach pains in the morning..it might be nothing, your body could be giving you signs that it's allergic to it, sometimes people's bodies give different allergic reactions and this might be one of them.

The resins in the pot could be irritating your stomach lining if you use a bong and have not cleaned it? Or....maybe the pot is not clean.....don't know. But get off the drugs anyways because your brain cells are packing for a move as we speak.

It happens - the best thing you can do is to have something like orange juice handy. I don't know why, but it does a great job of curing MMS (morning mary-jane stomach).

Try it - couldn't hurt.

It's probably just some additives put into your "Divine Miss M."
Try buying from someone you trust. See if that helps.
