Why does everyone allow themselves to fall into the trap of the Devils trespass? Why live a life of corrupting things; when you can live your life for God, so that in heaven your treasures may be forever?

The devil's trespass that I am speaking of is Sin. By it we are seperated from God.

No the Devil is actually not in control of the world. He is trying to and has been doing that for the last six thousand years and failed.
Jesus says He has overcome the Devil and that we can overcome him also through His power.
Here is the promise in the Bible:
James 4:7 Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
So you can overcome the devil. But only if you submit yourself to God. Only if you are living in Him, can you over come the devil. Otherwise, if you are trying to fight him with your own strength there is no way that you can win.

The devil is not in control, God is in control! The devil can only do what God allows him to do. When Christians make wrong choices, then we allow the devil a foothold in our lives.

I may not be the best person to answer this question. But I will try . If you are a believer. Than he can only be in control if you allow him to be . God gave you the gift of choice . Not necessarily the wisdom to use it.

According to Christian theology, Satan was created by Yahweh for just that purpose- to test men's hearts. Those who did not truly worship Him would be weeded out so that only those who loved him without question would gain access to Heaven.

i guess some people might look at it like that due to the fact that certain people want everybody to believe the way that they want them to believe and when certain people think for themselves they view it as the devil has control over those people

Satan's not "in control". God is still in control. Satan is given free reign to temp us and we are given the choice whether we want to do what satan wants us to or do what God requires of us.
As for me, I choose to follow God's commands.

People make their own choices, you cannot threaten coerce or cajole them into anything, letting your light shine does not mean strong arming anyone, it means being an example.
