Please don't breed your dog.
The sole purpose of breeding is to breed out the defects of a line and breed to the strengths. Your dog, simply because it is a mix, will more than likely have health problems found in both the breeds. The two small breed dogs you mention have prostate problems, eye problems and bladder problems, inherent in thebreed and a defect that professional breeders breed against.
The word is spelled 'spayed'.
And, under no circumstance should you breed a dog under two years old. This is for a bunch of reasons that professional breeders know, not the least of which is to prevent you from losing the ***** in whelping.
All you will be doing is bringing more dogs into the world, if you are very very lucky and don't lose the ***** and pups. This is a very small breed, even professional breeders take care with small dogs, extra care.
Please don't buy from a puppy mill either.
I can't hope enough that you will reconsider and neuter your dog.
What I do hope is that you visit a breeder in your area, of Maltese and Shi Tsus and poodles, and see what these breeds are supposed to look like when they aren't bastardized.
Please don't breed your dog.

No dog should be bred until they are at least 2 years old... a 13 month old girl is not fully developed and pregnancy could be dangerous and even fatal for her....
you need to do a lot of research and reading before you even consider breeding and cross breeding is certainly not recommended... there are plenty of unwanted dogs already in this world...and many more of these unwanted dogs are cross breeds (Mongrels) compared to pedigrees...
breeding needs to accentuate the good qualities of a breed.. and temperament is extremely important.
please consider carefully if you really want to be responsible for bringing these lives into the world... and do as much research as you can before you make any definate decisions.
Edit.. With regard to what Tiferni said; a dog is biologically capable of becoming pregnant at 7 months but if you saw the size of my chi pup who has just had her first season you could tell just by looking at her that a litter now would near enough kill her. At least 2 years are needed for the dog to grow to their adult size, fully develop and be healthy enough to whelp and rear her young.

No it isn't a good idea. It can be very expensive if things go wrong and what would happen to the pups? If you breed two different breeds of dog you don't know what problems may be inherent in that breed and what combinations you will get. Unfortunately there are too many unwanted dogs about so please don't add to them. You sound as though you mean well but it really isn't a good idea.

NO NO NO NO DON'T BREED.. you do not seem to know anything about breeding... you do not breed mixed breed dogs EVER!!! has your PUPPY had all her health clearances etc. DO NOT BREED MIXED BREEDS!! there is no reason whatsoever for you to breed your dog.. have her spayed - now is the perfect age for that... 13 month old pup is too young to have pups,,, you need to grow up and educate yourself.. UGH

It's the worst idea I've heard today! Why do you want to breed? Do you think you are going to make money? Forget it, if you breed properly you won't make money, especially from crossbreeds. Don't forget if something goes wrong with the puppies after you've sold them, you run the risk of being sued!
Rescue centres are bursting at the seams. Don't add to their problems.

Do not breed non-purebred animals. There are enough unwanted dogs out there already. Get your dog a spayed friend.
