Your pulse would be on the left side of your neck. YOu probably pulled a neck mussel. Put Ben Gay on it or it may be caused by you carring your backpack(If you go to school) On just one side of your shoulder. Also apply ice and a heating pad on it if it doesn't clear up in about 2-3weeks see a doctor.

You could have pulled or strained a muscle in your neck from sleeping badly or on an improper pillow. We call them a -strained neck or stiff neck, but that's not a proper term- Give it a couple of days.... it goes away on its own. Nothing to worry about. Rub it with some icy hot... that's usually soothes a bit.

How weird! I have had the same thing lately. Kind like a pinch or something....or a burning....can't really describe it. I think it may be from sleeping the wrong way even though it feels like it is something altogether different. I noticed I feel it more if I leave a window open at night.

I have the same thing. It doesn't hurt when I swallow, only when I apply pressure where my pulse is on the left side of my neck. I looked it up and I found it could be inflammation in the gland or tonsil. Also could be inflammation in the carroid artery. I've had it for 3 days now. I'm going to give it a week or two and if it still hurts go to the doctor.

Sounds like glands. See the doctor as it may be strep. I have had strep one time and that is where most of the pain was. Good luck!
