"Evolutionarily speaking" this question is inappropriate. Humans did not "evolve" the choice to wear clothing. What is generally spoken of as "evolution" is a biological process, and the wearing of clothing is not a biological trait. Of course, the behaviors and habits of human beings also "evolve" over time, to use the term in the more general sense of "develop" or "change". But this kind of "evolution" is entirely separate from biological evolution. It is anthropological, not genetic.

Danielle, whether this is not frequently known to respond to a query with a query.... yet....what's the objective for the medical study? What question is looming that would make it okay to do a cloning on the Homo habilis, Homo erectus, or the Neanderthals? it type of feels as though this could be a seek that leads authentic back to the bible. on account that evolution is in simple terms an theory, the authentic solutions bypass all the some time past to Genesis1:a million--- Genesis a million a million interior the commencing up God created the heaven and the earth. Then circulate all the way down to verses 19-22 the place the fourth day replaced into created... 19 And the night and the morning have been the fourth day. 20 And God mentioned, permit the waters convey forth abundantly the shifting creature that hath existence, and chicken that would fly above the earth interior the open firmament of heaven. 21 And God created super whales, and each residing creature that moveth, which the waters delivered forth abundantly, after their type, and each winged chicken after his type: and God observed that it replaced into stable. 22 And God blessed them, asserting, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters interior the seas, and permit chicken multiply interior the earth. observe in verse 21...after their type, and each winged chicken after his type: and God observed that it replaced into stable. this is the element the place evolution is going amiss....after their type... God says it two times right here and in case you have been to proceed examining, you will see this diverse situations. God under pressure the element that we will in simple terms have the means to be fruitful and multiply after our very own type. subsequently we at the instant are not in a position to reproduce with monkeys, sheep, horses, etc. We did not crawl out of the water, improve limbs, and climb in wood, just to discover a extra robust thank you to "stroll upright" as evolution teaches. as a result, if an test have been to be performed on the "Homo habilis, Homo erectus, or the Neanderthals," i even have faith that the outcomes could end that those are "all guy" and are under no circumstances monkey. yet....i'm additionally specific that the completed consequences does not be revealed, on account that that would "scientifically" coach that evolution is a hoax! i've got not got faith cloning is mandatory. i wish that facilitates alongside with your predicament. God Bless!

for some reason, we decided that certain parts of the body were supposed to be covered up. and i beleive that we started coming up with religions before we started wearing clothing, because morality comes from a belief in a god, or at least your ancestors believing in a god. Now i'm not saying you can't have morals without believing in god now, but if we knew about evolution from the start and had never come up with religions, we wouldn't have morals.
what i'm trying to say is, clothing stems from moral beliefs as much as protection.

The original people didn't wear clothing. As we developed intelligence, we learned how to make tools. This enabled us to roam farther. As we roamed farther, we encountered weather that was too cold for us. We used tools to make clothing, which was just animal hides. This allowed us to roam even further. Our ability roam was improved. And so on, and so on, ...

If you go to Africa, you'll see that most adult clothing covers up the genital area. This is to delay biting flies from biting there. You can think of other clothing as being an elaboration of this -- it "looked cool."

because as we drifted farther and farther from nature we became more ashamed of ourselves, and tried to hide under the guise of clothing. With the way society is going now, we'll all be naked and having orgies in the street in another 30 years.

Sexual selection resulted in hairlessness (the details you can get from Wiki).
Sexual selection also resulted in better tool use/ larger brains.
We made clothes for warmth because we're cleverer than the other apes.
Hope this helps.

Clothing also gives people a sense of control over their appearance, denotes societal status (men), conceals figure flaws (women) and of course, warmth in cooler climates.
