Does anyone knpw where I can buy fresh baby sweet corn in New York City? I love to cook Thai and Chinese food but I can't find fresh ones anywhere, tinned is a very poor substitute...

I'm from London and we get it all year round there... yet I've never seen it at any tine in NYC, weird no?

And I'd rather eat cardboard than use any other form, sorry thats just me.....

I doubt you'll find any fresh this time of year. Try an ethnic grocery, or a grocery store in Chinatown for frozen. Maybe you could ask at a Chinese or Thai restaurant? Or if you know anyone of either nationality, maybe they could help you. Good luck.

P.S. I agree, the canned stuff is terrible.

Go to the oriental or the canned food or veggies areas and you'll find some baby corn. They're in water so you'll be fine, my mom and grandma uses this trick when they're not in season!!!!!!

This time of year? That's going to be tough. I've seen it canned in jars, and the taste isn't bad.
