I'm very interested in getting a pug. I'm still trying to convince my parents about getting one. I'm hoping that by learning about them i will 1)know more about how much of a responsibilty i can take 2)how much my parents will have to take 3)learn if they are the right breed for me, my family and etc etc.

So basically i want to learn everything about the breed. Everything from food, to care, to toys, to loving a pug.

So here are some of my specific questions:
1)how many times a day do pugs on average need to be walked?
2)how much attention and care would you say they need? do they usually need someone home at all times?
3)getting a pug? breeder or adopting online?
4)how much do the costs of pug care cost in general (ie food, medications, toys and treats)

and lastly;;
pros and cons please?
and also any ideas of how to convince my parents??

please help me!
Thank you!

hi there. so you are a pug lover like me hey??? i have a 12 year old pug at home called hapuka (means fish in Maori).
Pugs are very easy going dogs.
walking them once a day is fine. they are dogs which need some level of attention but not too much like chihuahuas or anything. just a bit of cuddles and that.
now when it comes to purchasing one. it is a very expensive dog at around $800AUS so its best to go to a breeder so you know that the dog has papers and has been fuly vet checked etc.
apparently pugs have some level of health problems in later ages but i have had no probs. honestly bcos i am in australia i cannot tell you how much it will cost for feeding and treats etc cos everything is a different price down here.

Goodluck and i hope i could help you!!

I also have a pug. you are able to desire to scrub their wrinkles with a q-tip to make useful they don't get contaminated. She's very candy and quiet.. she does not bark till my different canine is barking. She's good with youngsters and not in any respect flips out or assaults something or every physique. She's complete grown and is 17 kilos. She has a ton of potential and is often working around. She's very welcoming to new people. each time strangers come over she merely desires to play with them. She's no longer frightened or something. Pugs are my famous breed of canine :) in case you visit the source then there will be loads of imagery.
