The classic symptoms of acute sinusitis usually follow a cold that does not improve, or one that worsens after 5 - 7 days of symptoms. They include:
1-Nasal congestion and discharge
2-Sore throat and postnasal drip (fluid dripping down the back of your throat, especially at night or when you lie down)
3-Headache -- pressure-like pain, pain behind the eyes, toothache, or facial tenderness
4-Cough, often worse at night
5-Fever (may be present)
6-Bad breath or loss of smell
7-Fatigue and generally not feeling well
Symptoms of chronic sinusitis are the same as acute sinusitis, but tend to be milder and last longer than 8 weeks.

Headache and facial pain, with or without fever. If you tap on the sinuses above and below your eyes, if any are infected, they'll hurt when you tap on them. Also, bend down and touch your toes....if you have pain in the same place then there's a good chance that your sinuses are infected. You'll need to see a doctor cause you'll need some antibiotics. Best of luck to you......hope you feel better soon.

Have you tried inhaling steam? It gave me a little bit of relief. You are right about using too many decongestants they can do more harm than good in the end as they can cause your sinuses to swell up.Have you seen your GP as you may have bacterial sinus infection and need antibiotics.Hope you feel better soon!

The Sinusitis simply denotes inflammation of the sinuses, or more precisely, inflammation of the mucous lining the Sinuses. The Sinus Inflammation can be caused by allergy, infection and many other factors.

It feels like you cant breath at alll. And you kinda feel it in your throat almost, like a really sore throat or hard swollowing. Your face around your eyes tends to hurt a little bit. Its just a badd sinus infection. Go to the docter and ask about Loratadine..that stuff really helps..its just like Claritin D. But it really helps.
