Has Iraq not already adopted a constitution and didn't our fearless leader not say we would pull out when that happened?? Instead I hear of an insurgence of new American troops to the region??

and in no way am I being disrespectful to the men and women who are risking their lives. I do vote and I certainly did not vote for that idiot we have in office right now. I have the utmost respect for those troops who give no 2nd thought to fight for a cause they may not believe in and do it with the ultimate price at stake. To those who want to call me a traitor, leave your answers to yourselves. I merely am curious why the hell we have to babysit the world at the expense of our younger generations. We have been able to sustain ourselves without oil for a very long time, yet our government does not want to use that technology.
I am a military brat, Marine Corps...Semper FI. I simply do not agree with our current administrations views on this conflict

They are not ready to defend themselves yet, so we are not ready to leave yet.
Yes they have adopted a democratic constitution & no, President Bush never said we would "pull out" when that happened. He has always said we would leave when they could defend themselves.
No question in your last sentence but yes we are sending more troops to try to speed up the time frame of when they can defend themselves.

My belief is that it is our duty as one of the richest countries of the world to defend countries in need of our aid. This started 15 years ago when Iraq invaded another country and when George Bush Sr. was president. I strongly believe that we should help a county that has been saved from a terrible, terrible dictator, and that the Iraq government needs to be fully supported before we leave. The job is almost done, but not quite. President Ge ogre W. Bush has be a great leader in a hard time. This has been a hard time for America but we are almost ready to pull out. The Americans just need to realize the troops need our support. The choose for honor and American pride, they will help a country in need. I fully support Bush. He has made some bad decisions but he knows how to recover and take a punch or two about Iraq. He also would give up if he did not strongly agree that Iraq needed our help. I know I would have given up. This is a hard time but we will survive and we will realize the genius of Bush's decision to help Iraq. I don't want to get pounded on for my beliefs and the belifs of enough voters to keep Bush in office, but there they are, standing in the darkness of today, waiting for a tomorrow that sees American troops coming home and a set of eyes to read these words in a light of understanding.

iraq has had elections and everything else. now that our government has came up with a report, and hopefully iraq has also. hopefully we will make some progress, but for right now.
we are trying to clean out the leaders, and ammo points.
while doing that it seems like iraq has more terrorsts popping up
slowing the progress of it all.
now that our government has made some points and yes it benefits us, hopefully they will get off there butts and take some action for there own country's safety.
i am for the troops, i am for keeping the fight overseas, not on our land again.
we will just have to see if the dems will make any improvements
on our security here. cause we are not safer than we was 9/11
cause our borders and policies arent to benefit us but others
and thats what pisses me off. our borders are main topic.
its not about mexicans, its about us knowing whos in our country.
dems need to get it in gear.
as for the troops, they are doing there duty, the politicians need to do theres. our troops cant do anything while in the states except training. politicians need to get a game plan to benefit us and our safety.
hurrah to the troops, keep the fight overseas, if not it will be back to us.
troops need to be sent without the red tape. let them do there duty
and get it over with.

The Iraqi government and military have not yet the experience or the confidence to take on the insurgency on their own. However, Maliki has said that his country will soon be ready for us to begin a phased withdrawl. Perhaps this latest surge will help to accellerate the coming of that day.

Hi,
bush is a lot like a gambler who is losing his a s s in a poker game, and rather than have sense enough to get out while the getting is good, he wants to stay until he has earned recognition as not being the loser he is seen to be now.
A lot of people think that day will never come.

We are protecting Saudi Arabia from a possible take over from the majority religion in Saudi Arabia. The people are one religion and the royal family is another, if Iraq majority religion is the same as the people of Saudi Arabia it will put pressure on the family.

So you go on the world-wide internet to show disrespect to our President, while our nation is at war, and you get your facts wrong, too. Pretty impressive.
Do you want to be a traitor when you grow up?
