I was thinking this might help me. I just can't seem to get out of bed these days, and given any chance, will head back to sleep any time of day. My mood in quite low and so is my energy. I need to start feeling like I want to face the world again. Thanks for your input.

I got a Happy Light by Verilux (available on Amazon) early in December and after about 5 days of using it I noticed that I was waking up on time and feeling rested. I also did not have the 3pm slump I always seem to get during the cold seasons.

I have been using it religiously (about 15 minutes in the AM w/ my coffee and 30 minutes after work while I read the mail and pay bills) since and I have to say, I've never felt so normal during JANUARY. It's miraculous and I'd recommend it to anyone who thinks their lethargy might be because of SAD.

Sure, it costs, but you'll only have to buy one.

Best of luck and health to you.

My doc said to put a full-spectrum light (Verilux is one) on a timer to go on at 530 AM. It needs to be next to your bed, without the lampshade. It will mimic the light of sunrise in the summer.
If you are feeling that low, you may want to consider an antidepressant.
