Get the couch!!! It cost a lot more. Then get a table to use for the laptop. You could even get a wooden tray table...sits up high enough. If you still want a desk, you can pick one up for a few dollars at at thrift store,auction or yard sale and then you will have both....

get the couch but instead of a low big table get a small table to service the couch....then either use a small round cafe table as a desk/social area....or get a sofa table (goes behind the sofa) to use as a desk........either way you have created two zones instead of one

i would get the couch. it would be worth it b/c you can use it for other things too. good for napping.
