because we all have faults and only one person that ever stepped foot on this planet was perfect. It's easy to look at someone who follows Jesus, who was in every aspect perfect, and look at his followers who are far from it and place judgment.

You have absolutely no scientific basis that obesity is higher among Christians. That was a stupid comment. Yes, your body is the temple of your spirit, but seeing as how we have the freedom to choose what we do or don't do, people are going to chooses good and bad things. We all struggle with something, be it over-eating, gambling, drinking, being rude etc. These are challenges that we need to overcome to grow.

As to his deity, Jesus Christ is God the daddy. Isaiah 9:6 for sure calls him the daddy. a million. Jesus suggested that He might deliver the comforter to us (John sixteen:7), yet He additionally suggested the daddy might deliver the comforter (John 14:26). 2. the daddy on my own can draw men to God (John 6:forty 4), yet Jesus suggested He might draw all men (John 12:32). 3. Jesus will improve up all believers interior the final day (John 6:forty), yet God the daddy hastens (provides existence to) the ineffective and could improve us up (Romans 4:17; I Corinthians 6:14). 4. Christ is our sanctifier (Ephesians 5:26), however the daddy sanctifies us (Jude a million). we can easily comprehend all of this if we comprehend that Jesus has a twin nature. he's the two Spirit and flesh, God and guy, Father and Son. (i'm Oneness Pentecostal)

Of course overeating is one of the many ways a person can disrespect their personal temples...but I think what you may hit on here isn't a reflection of religion so much as it's a reflection of region.
Statistically in the U.S. most Christians live in the South, and if your familiar with southern cuisine - a lot (even the veggies) is fried.

the oroblem with this is the fact that most americans are obese and most americans are christians. therefore, it is not surprising that some christians are obese.
christians shouldn't be obese because gluttony is a sin, and committing sin is very bad in the eyes of christians.

God does not dwell in temples that are made with hands.
The Lord doesnt see as man sees. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks upon the heart.
Try to quit looking with the eyes of a man.

If a Christian's body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, why would it matter how big or small that body is? I don't see the correlation. Don't you understand that this life is but a blink of the eye. Like dust in the wind. Today we are here, tomorrow we are gone.
Seek eternal life. Do everything you can to find eternal life. "And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you. For everyone that asks receives; and he that seeks find; and to him that knocks it shall be opened." - Luke 11:9-10. But do this with a humble heart. God knows your heart. If you are proud, He will resist you. If you are humble, He will reveal himself to you.

The US culture is more the culprit. Compare with christians worldwide. Also compare with those that decalre a deep commitment to Jesus as opposed to those who simply say they are christian. You will likely still find a signficant number who are obese in the US but not anywhere near the percentages here.
Also, worldwide you will find a dramatically different story.

And your research is where? Have you no life or friends or anything better to do than put Christians down? I pity you.
