I got into yoga many years ago to help promote more grace and balance. It definitely helped with those goals. But I also benefit in overall muscle tone, my muscles are longer and leaner. Another reason I continue to practice yoga is that my core has strength end. I enjoy the time I spend in yoga class because it is serene, peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend it.

Some things to remember:
Don't wear perfumes or strong deodorants to class...the idea is not to "infringe" upon other classmates' senses.

Wear comfortable and stretchy clothing.

Don't worry about what the other students are doing.....just listen to the instructor.

Enjoy.

I do yoga and im still learning ,but from my short experiance i can say its relaxing and fun to do. I think you'll enjoy it once you try it. Though it takes time to get use to the awkward poses...

A lot of people like yoga and I gave it a go and found it very boring and useless. If I'm going to workout, I like to feel like I'm working out, not stretching for an hour!
