There's this middle-age woman in our neighborhood, I don't know where she lives but she walks by our house daily. Well a month ago she charged over to my husband when he was getting into his car to tell him our hedge was obstructing the side walk. When we looked at it later there was one twig-sized branch that was hanging about 4 inches over the sidewalk, so we clipped it. Recently she cornered him as he was doing yard work to complain that a couple leaves from our tree was making the side walk in front of our house slippery. My husband was so annoyed he didn't say a word but just looked at her and shook his head. She's never said a word to me but it starting to feel like she's making a point to approach my husband every time she sees him. The best advice I can come up with is just don't let it get to you. But I realize that's easier said than done. Any polite but clever advice you would give him?

I have a neighbor like that who has complained to me about something or another since ONE HOUR of me moving in. Arrrgh. The neighbor on the opposite side told me I needed to stay away from 'that woman', so I guess it's not just me and she's known for doing that kind of thing.

I think your husband has the right idea, just completely ignore her. People like that are usually looking for stimulation by way of an argument.

Just Have Your Hubby Tell Her He Doesn't Need Her Advice On It, And That He Would Rather Her Stop Complaining About It.

My new neighbor saw us moving in (me and my four year old) and said, :"Oh, are you moving in with that noisy kid?" We have received numerous letters from the apartment complex since moving in. He has lived in the building for 13 years, and nothing we do is good enough for him. I have laid down more carpet, and required everyone to tip toe on the carpet / dining room floor. It is absolutely ridiculous, it feels like he is trying to control our every move, although we have done everything to be :"quiet" throughout the whole day and night. Any suggestions? Any legal advice??

how about if your husband walks by HER house and mentions, "are you planning to sweep your driveway anytime soon? it's really making the neighborhood look shabby" or something of the sort. fight fire with fire.

She may be lonely and just looking for attention or may have an obsessive need to control. Pray for her.

Tell him to laugh at her and say, "You always brighten my day" and then he shall walk away quickly.
