While your question sounds racist, what people prefer to eat or drink has to do with their personal taste, what their family and friends like, the media, their culture and location. These are the things that influence our food choices.

I guess when we were little as growing up..when you were alot of children they would give us kool-aid because it made alot and went along way..to me it was great colored sugar water..I am hispanic..and I relate to grape kool-aid when we would go to catachism with the sisters during the summer at the church for xtra religion..and about 10 30am we would break for grape kool-aid..and we were soooo many children there..and there was still some leftover..that is all the reason i can think of.. but not because you would think it was for Black-Americans only.

Your question sounds really racist. Other races drink it to it was probably made/ invented by white people. Why do white people drink so much iced tea? Exactly if you answered that you would feel a little hurt. People have different preferences and kool-aid goes along way and every one likes it. So its just a staple in American families / homes not just with black people.

Well we all have our own tastes, and they just seem to like kool-aid better than regular juice.

I though all people loved Kool Aid.

Anytime you use "they", you are sterotyping
....either pro or anti Kool Aid.

I for one don't like it all that much. but in a pinch, if
the water is bad, it is better than smelly water.

Because it's the cheapest drink available besides water. I'm not being racist. I guess it's just something they drink when they're low in funds.
