If you can handle a reduction in carbohydrates and sugars you might be able to work out a modified atkins plan (low carb)

Lots of meat, cheese and healty veggies.

Simplified say Yes to meats, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, cabbage and no to white bread, pasta, potato, and corn

I also do brown rice and some whole grain products, and am not afraid of breading and sauces.

eating meat is fine, just do so in moderation. the general rule is one serving of meat, one serving of bread and two servings of vegetables. tho you may not love vegetables they are important to your overall health and growing bones.

do know that people who eat a high percentage of red meat (steak, hamburger etc) have a much higher rate of colon cancer. just be sure to balance out your protein intake with red meat, chicken, pork and fish.

you can eat meat but cut off the fat. also fill only 1/4 of your plate with meat.
