I have a Bungalow style kitchen with white cabinets, butcher block counters, and wood floors. I would like some advice on a good color for the large kitchen that is in keeping with 1920's style but also "appetizing" (e.g. not the dark yellow I have now!)

how about a creamy butter yellow? If you hate yellow then a sage green might be nice?

A nice butter or lemon yellow is just lovely, a soft aquamarine, or sage green would be in keeping w/this style and period.

You could do a light yellow or a light green or maybe even a melon color, like cantaloupe.
