I have built my own ladder and hanging stands. But on the internet you mostly hear the party line about how there is no such thing as a safe homemade treestand.
You can do it. The biggest trouble I have is that I make mine too strong. LOL
You can copy most stands out there without much trouble. Just make sure you feel the stand is safe for you. Don't ever take chances and always wear your safety harness.
