Yes, I would die for Him.

There will come a time that one will choose to die for Christ or receive the mark of the Antichrist.

Jesus came to the earth to "save" the world, not condemn it.
Jesus went to the cross for ALL mankind, not just the people of the era in which he walked among.

Give me but a cause and a sword... But it ussualy aint that simple. The cause is full of misgivings and the sword rusty- yet we must persevere on...

Missionaries eaten by snakes, typhoid, lost in remote corners of the earth, never to be heard from again. Forgoten, without glory, dieing all alone.

What must it have been like for Jesus? From the ruling class of the universe, gave it all up to come to a remote misserable planet at the end of the galaxy. And the inhabitants here? No gratitude, we crucified Him! Strung up dieing all alone mocked and deriden.

Have you any pity? Have you any decency? Yes I will die for Him.

At this time in my life, I would give my life for my children voluntarily. I work in Law Enforcement, and though I wouldn't give my life for anyone else, I understand that it is one of the hazards of the job. When I was younger, I was in the Corps, and prepared that if we had gone to combat, my life could be taken. At that time, though I wouldn't be happy about it, I would have given my life to protect this country.

I am an atheist, but have read the bible. From what I gather, if one truly believes "the word", then they should know that jesus would not burden a person with that decision.

I can't answer a question framed in such a way.

There is an assumption of a number of things that cannot be proven such as:

1.) Did Jesus die for us or did he die for himself/his dad?
2.) Did Jesus die?
3.) Did Jesus exist?

Lastly, I can't die for him (as in place of him as he did for us according to your question). I'm around 2000 out of time for that to happen.

If I knew him, and he was my friend, I'd jump in front of a bullet for him sure. I'd do the same for anyone I cared about.

Addition:

A question back for you: Would Jesus want you to die for him?

I have my own opinion which is its the last thing he would have wanted because he was supposed to be taking all the heat for everyone's sins past present and future right? The last thing I think he would have wanted is for someone else to take that kind of heat. For him to have allowed that would totally contradict and ruin his message.

Regardless if the Bible is historically accurate or not, you cannot discount the message. I don't think it matters whether its true or not, what does matter, at least to me is the conveyance of an idea. To change the story is to change the idea.

Why doesn't anyone ask if people would live for Jesus?
Anyone can die for a cause, it takes more courage to be a living example IMHO.

yes and hopefully I will get the opportunity. I am not crazy about the idea of torture however. Something like taking a shot to the head while running Bibles inti China would be cool.

It's a very romantic notion, dying for some cause or person. It makes things so simple, too. One moment of discomfort, and "instant heaven!"

Here's a tougher question: Would you live for something? Day after tedious day, reward or no reward, would you remain committed to your cause?

If it should ever come down to that, may He grant me the Grace I need to die for His Holiness, as He willingly died for me.

No, dying for Jesus would serve no more purpose than Jesus dying for me.

If your children offended you would it be necessary for you to die in order to forgive them?

We are all going to die, its a fact and part of life. Only a question
