Okay so I'm 16. Me and my boyfriend have been together for 8 months, and we're pretty much perfect. We agree that we love each other more than anything and never want to be with anyone else. We talk about the future alot, like kids, pets, colleges, jobs...that kind of stuff. But he still says that he doesn't want to lead me on and promise me forever. It's like he's getting my hopes up by talking about all these things, and then shutting me down saying it's probably not going to happen. Any opinions? Why is he doing that and what does he ACTUALLY mean by all this?

it sounds like he doesn't want to hurt you if things dont work out. he seems like a man of his word, and doesn't want to break a promise to you. he also seems very mature saying that he doesn't know what's going to happen in the future. just know that he loves you now, and enjoy what you have and see where things go from there.

Did Jesus tutor that there may be a resurrection? confident. He mentions it returned and returned. John 5:28, 29; John 6:40; John 6:40 4. The apostle Paul taught this besides at Acts 24:15. He replaced into even being judged by potential of the Sadducees over his desire of the resurrection. Acts 23:6-8. Even people in hell get resurrected. Revelation 20:thirteen. So the doctrine of the resurrection is firmly ordinary in scripture, confident? Now if we 'holiday to heaven or to hell' while we die, what want is there of a resurrection? Resurrection is, it seems that, for lifeless people, best? So if something survives dying and is going to heaven, resurrection makes no sense, is it no longer? when you consider that resurrection is what overcomes dying, then while we are lifeless, we are unsleeping of easily no longer something, merely as Ecclesiastes says, best? So there is no contradiction, is there? Hannah J Paul

You're only 16 and forever is a long time!! Dont sweat it right now, enjoy being young. Sounds like atleast he's smart enough to realize that. Your wants, needs and desires change alot from the time your 16 to say the time your 20. What you hope for right now will probably be different for what you hope for in a few yrs. Dont rush it!

I think he is still concerned that if he were to loose you after full committment it would hurt more. So he is taking cool and not trying to get too much attached. So should you be. First learn by watching the world. dont live in fantacies. You should also adopt his thinking and be cool.
Be flexible and be prepared to receive what is good for you. Life will teach you the basics. Hang on to him and be open. There is a long life ahead to worry about things. Just be in the present time and enjoy and be cheerful

He is trying to let you know that he still wants to do his own thing, that he has no intention of being with you forever. Thats what it sounds like to me. Sorry sometimes the truth hurts. Ease off as much as you possibly can and see what happens then.

I think he is trying to protect you. What if he does promise you forever and then he moves away or things don't work out?
