Hmm.....I have one directv receiver and one remote. Now if I had 12 receivers.........do you mean one remote that will put all 12 on one channel or one remote that can put each receiver on a different channel? Either way, if you are paying a monthly fee, call the local directv (hopefully the guy who installed your system) and ask him.
The only experience I have is that I have two Sony DVD players and they will both work with the same remote.

do you want to change all tv's to same channel ? or control each one indipendantly ?
