If it is , isnt it contrary to the kindness preached by the bible you hold so dear?
Do you prefer only to integrate with other JWs?
Why are so many JWs roofers?
How much are overseers paid by the congregation?Someone I know seems rather well to do considerring he has no secular work.

ACHTUNG HEISS.
I have asked 3 JW questions.
All of then were asked reasonably, intelligently and seeking knowledge.knowledge that will help dispel erroneous judgement by others about JWs.
You should take the opportunity like many other of your brothers and sisters to present the truth.
I have not spoken in anyway disrespectful about JWs and only explained what I see to give you the chance to expalin if you wish.
I have also apologised for any offence my avatar may cause.I use the avatar because i like the look of it.Its persoanl choice.Think carefully before you incorrectly suggest i am defaming any religions or continuing the work of hitler.
Its those kinds of ill considered remarks that could give JWs a bad name.

There isn't much more for me to say, the other two sisters said it wonderfully. :) In times of distress, yes we are there helping our brothers and sisters, but we also help as many people as possible.

JW, roofers??? Not following you there? I really can't think of one JW that is a roofer.... If I am following you correctly. But Im sure you are correct, Im sure there are some, we all have different jobs.

Oh so you want to know how much the overseers are paid, aye??? I will let you in on that secret! They get to see congregations grow, they get to be involved in a worldwide brotherhood of smiling faces worshiping the one true God, Jehovah. That is a wonderful payment, though Im guessin you were talking about money? These overseers/Elders would not take the money if you gave it to them. They are doing the work that Jehovah has assigned them, they are taking care of the sheep, they love the privilege they have.

This person that you seem to know that does not have a job and is doing rather well, unless you live with them and are very close to them, how do you know what kind of income they have? Maybe they have savings? You just don't know....... Maybe they spend their money wisely..... Maybe they work at home..... Many things......

Our first priority is often to help our brothers as we consider each other family. We then help others. When a flood hit in my near my hometown many of my friends, I was still to young, went to Albany and helped out. They worked on helping EVERYONE.

Do I prefer to integrate only with other Witnesses. As a whole sure. Some people prefer to mostly integrate with their Canasta buddies. On a personal lever personalities come in to play.

As to the roofers question, not sure. IT reminds me of a question on the show Golden Girls. The mother asked a Doctor, How come so many of you Doctors are Jewish. HE responded Because our mothers are. It could be a popular trade where you are. It is a practicle trade. Also when we build our facilities. We use volunteers. we have classes to help these unskilled laymen learn to be roofers, pinters etc. So maybe you have seen these ones who while having seperate lives also know Roofing.

The Elders are not paid. We do not pay people to speak. Some brothers still work into their 70's. Others retire in their 50's. I am on disability.

elders are not paid. many of the elders work a secular job. how do you think the rent or mortgage and bills get paid? yes we do help Jehovah Witnesses when there is distress but we do help others also who are not witnesses. what do you mean we prefer only to integrate only with Jehovah Witnesses? we are very busy people, study for meetings, going to meetings out in the field service (going door to door) what Jeus Christ commanded at Matthew 28 verse 19 and 20. and many having jobs to pay for bills and food. we do eat and need cloths just like anyone else. we are a worldwide brother and sister hood in 235 lands.

Ever wonder why Jws keep knocking on your doors trying to give you free bible sudy? It is for their love of others that they want them to know what the bible really teach regarding God's promises of freedom from suffering.

Those people help me all the time....as I have always told here, Iam an 'auslander' here in Austria, I do not have blood family only ma husband and kids and my husband does have a family but whenever my 2nd child gets sick, only those people you call 'cult' comes to help us. I was never discriminated for being an Asian unlike other austrians did.

I know of an elder who was an engineer before but gave up his job to serve Jehovah fully (fulltime pioneer), compared to what he gets from secular work, his allowance wouldnt be 1/4 of that. Other elders have secular work. But he wisely spends money just as I am sure that that overseer you mentioned does.

So from your questions and comments, as far as you know, is not very much.

Jehovah's Witnesses are known for their love and compassion.

Jehovah's Witnesses are known for not having "paid" ministers.

Instead of spreading untruths, I would recommend going to

www.watchtower.org

and find the truth.
