I had a lab mix that had an ear problem. Constant scratching, a yeast-like odor and yellow ear wax. I went to five different vets before the last suggested an allergy test. As it turned out my doggie was allergic to things in the yard, grass, oak trees, marigolds, ect... So $350 for the test and $75 a month for allergy shots the problem cleared up. To bad it is soooo expensive.

your dog may have an alergy to corn. It is in all commercial dog
food except some lamb and rice brands. read labels carefully.
if the dog has ear mites and you do not want to use an over the
counter medicine which will work quickly a little bit of olive oil
by eyedropper will sufficate the mites and help heal any sorenes
from dirty claw digging. also if your dog is long hair and the fur
folds back inside, on rainy days the hair whicks the water into
the ear and causes fungus of which can also be helped with
olive oil.

Your vet's a jerk -- get a new vet. If you went to the doctor because of a pain in your leg and he told you to ignore it, you'd go to a different doctor, right? Is there a discharge in / coming out of the ear? Is is brown or yellow or another color? Does the ear smell funny? My dogs always got ear infections after swimming in the lake. Could be simple infection requiring ear drops.

Find a new Vet. Buy an ear cleaning solution for dogs-available at most major pet stores, and follow the directions carefully.

What did your vet say? If your vet won't do anything to help then I suggest you get another vet.

If you've described a real problem to the vet and he/she dismisses it, find a new vet who's more responsive.

Bind her feet and flush her ears.Give her space and let her go .When she stops flush her ears again.Repeat till she gives up without a whimper. She will let you know when enough is enough.
