without his permission? Is he capable of ending all suffering right now?

They don't call them acts of god for nothing.

If you believe the Christian mythos, then god could have stopped Hurricane Katrina or the South East Asian tsunami. Indeed, judging from the bible, these are the sort of things that god actively causes and saying that New Orleans was wiped out because it was a sinful city is perfectly in keeping with Christian scripture.

Free will can explain (however poorly) wars and even genocide. Free will cannot explain natural disasters or diseases. I see no contradictions because I see no god. God cultists can make up their own stories but I have yet to see one that is satisfying. It boils down to whether or not there is a reason, other than fear, to worship a god who has such a cavalier attitude toward human life and suffering.

Go in peace to love and serve the truth.

The devil can't do ANYTHING without God's permission, you are right. But, I'm not here to tell you God does bad by doing that. All things happen to the Glory of God for those who love HIM [Romans 8:28]. And the bad happens to the righteous (just) AND the bad people (unjust) [Matthew 5:45].
What I'd like you to know, is the love of Jesus. He doesn't want you to go to Hell. 1John 1:9 says that ALL you have to do is cofess your wrongs to GOD, and repent [Luke 13:3, and Revelation 3:19], and God will forgive you [Romans 3:23-25] and call you His Own!
Peace brother! JESUS loves you more than you know!

He gave humanity authority over Earth, starting with Adam. Free will... We can do what we want, but God has control. He's omnipotent... all powerful. He already endured all suffering at the cross. We just give our sorrows to him and he gives back joy. It's an awesome concept, considering I'm not worthy (neither is the rest of the world)

If God forced world peace and forced people not to murder/do horrible things, he would have broken his promise which was what we call free will, and that wouldn't be true love.

By the way, I've noticed that you have an incredible gift of wisdom and wits. God has a plan for you (and everyone) that would blow you away.

He "stands at the door of your heart and knocks"

Oh.. that's such a big question... Faith surpasses all understanding my friend.

Since everything that occurs is the result of choices people make the only way for a God to impose its will upon humanity would be to remove the ability we have to make any choices!

Do you want to be a God's puppet?
Do you want to have no ability to make any choices for yourself?

Sounds like hell to me!!!
Thank the pink monkey THERE IS NO GOD

He said FROM THE BEGINNING that MAN was to have dominion over the world.

It was man's disobedience to Him that is still causing the problems.

On the other hand, He helps His children who call upon Him.....and even helps those who seek Him.

The rest are on their own as they follow whatever belief that they have in their minds.

God gave man dominion. In other words we are supposed to take responsibility and care for the earth and care for each other. God helps by guiding us when we permit it.

God is not in any way in control of this planet. Stop and think, everyday thousands of people are murdered. Is god in control of that ? I think not and in addition to this he doesn't exist.
