Does anyone have a cat who drinks water from a touchless water faucet? My cat does not like the pet fountains. I've tried and she just ignores them. She also won't drink from her water bowl. ONLY the bathroom faucet so we have to keep turning it on for her. Just wondering if the touchless water faucets have been used with success for this type of cat.

Most cats like running water! Id give the faucet a chance. That way the cat will always have fresh water.

My cat loved to drink from the tub faucet too when we lived in our apartment. When we moved to our house, our plumbing worked much better, but he wouldn't drink from his dish.

I know you said you've tried the fountains and that your cat ignores them, but have you tried the Drinkwell fountain and turned the lever to the same speed that she's used to for the tub? The Drinkwell is the only fountain I've found with a water flow regulator, and at around $50, it's got to be cheaper than installing a touchless water faucet and letting your cat determine your water bill!

You might try to acclimate your cat to using the fountain by putting it into the bathtub. A little weird, but it might help with the translation.

Blessings to you! You sound like a very caring pet parent!

cat's are smart i think she could figure it out maybe start with a large rabbit water thing and then move to the touchless one. See if she can get the hang of that first. It's almost the same. My cat's prefer the toilet.

My friend has a cat that drinks from the faucet too. Sometimes my cats drink from the fish bowl. But only when there is a fish in there. They don't go for the fish though.

Get the new faucets that work by infrared switches like you see in public restrooms. When the cat gets near the faucet the water flows and then stops automatically. Ours loves it.

If you're willing to spend the money to find out, its worth a shot. If the cat only drinks from a faucet but you have to keep turning it on for her, it could be a good investment. Saves you from having to do it all the time. :)

My cat does this too. She won't drink from her bowl, but she loves the bathroom water facuet. I never thought of that. What a great idea. I will have to read your other answers and see what people came up with.

I would put water in a water bowl like most pets drink out of. She'll drink in time, I'm sure of it. I never knew they made such things for pets....wow!
