My 4 year old is very interested in science topics such as the solar system and biology. Does anyone know of any videos or tv shows that would APPROPRIATE for this age group?

PBS has a show called "the magic school bus" it is not on tv anymore but you can still buy the shows on dvd or vhs. every episode is full of science and adventure from a first hand perspective. example: Ms. Frizzle the teacher takes the kids on field trips on the magic school bus the can shrink children and take them on trips through the body or into plants or the ocean

Bill Nye the Science Guy is neat. Even though it's aimed at kids a little older, my son learned a lot from it at this age. (Tough to track down, though.)
Zula Patrol is a new show on PBS...they do the solar system in an interesting way, although they seem to play a little fast and loose with the whole fact/fantasy thing. Check your listings...he might like it.

National Geographic makes a real looking moon. You can find it in the toy section at Target. You install it on your sons wall or ceiling and it actually goes through the different phases of the moon. There is a CD that goes along with it. I just bought one for my nephew.

Mgic school bus explores all different things, try and find some that explore just that would be my first suggestion, other then that I would have to look online to see, you may even find something at a book store?

Try reading books to her on the topic so that she can learn that reading can satisfy her curiosity. You might want to get on the computer with her and help her find information. There is too much tv watching in homes today.

Check at your local library, most of them have educational videos and some might even have a children's section with videos on this sort of stuff that is age appropriate.
