Has anyone read "The Satanic Rituals" by Anton Lavey? What is it about? Does it provide advice for life? Is it worth reading? I have read "The Satanic Bible" already and I really liked it. To me, it served more as a wake up call to enjoy life. And please to any christians and other satanist haters out there,do not post anything like "Satanists are stupid" or "You will burn in hell", if you do so, your an idiot. If you show respect, thank you. I want a good answers from people who have actually read the book.

The Nine Satanic Statements - Written by Anton Szandor LaVey

1) Satan represents indulgence, instead of abstinence!

2) Satan represents vital existence, instead of spiritual pipe dreams!

3) Satan represents undefiled wisdom, instead of hypocritical self-deceit!

4) Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of love wasted on ingrates!

5) Satan represents vengeance, instead of turning the other cheek!

6) Satan represents responsibility to the responsible, instead of concern for psychic vampires!

7) Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes better, more often worse than those that walk on all-fours, who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual development," has become the most vicious animal of all!

8) Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they all lead to physical, mental, or emotional gratification!

9) Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had, as he has kept it in business all these years!

I've read a little about satanism, I love the concept, but I would hate the idea of belonging to any church, so I just remain an atheist. also a lot of it sounds very psychodramatic and a lot of it's followers don't even understand what they are doing. It's a good model to live by, but it's not the kind of religion I'd follow.

I just wish that christians understood that satanism has nothing to do with satan and infact satanists deny the fact that satan or god exist (to my knowledge atleast) Christians have demonized them into seeming evil because they don't agree with their ways.

well it is just a book and it is just one mans opinion so you can accept or reject as you please. I have only read parts of the Satanic Bible but it was certainly not an Evil text in any way. I was impressed quite well with it. There is a great deal of sanity there.
The Satanic 11 commandments make a great deal of sense. Enjoy your reading. What you decide to get out if it, as you already know, is entirely your choice.
I just object to paying to being told what I already know.

Actually, I would not call you stupid or an idiot. But you would are stupid enough to read it.
God loves you and if anything, read his word. You'll find better pleasure in the Bible than Satan's Bible. Satan's Bible is selfish. And that's what made God to cast him out of heaven for being such an evil and selfish being. There's no forgiveness for Satan and his fallen angels. Only for the fallen race. Satan has no part in the work of redemption. neither can he receive forgiveness. You can.

satanists believe in satan, so to them, satan is god, and god, to them, is satan, so either way they believe in god and avoid satan.
